Hey guys, I hope it's okay if I post this topic asking for help.

So I've been learning Spanish for the past few years and it's getting to the point where I'm going to need to be able to do a 7 minute oral with perfect grammar and pronunciation. Practice in the class room is obviously not enough, so I decided that listening to some music with Spanish lyrics might help my pronunciation and even my vocabulary and grammar.

So long story short: does anyone have some *good* Spanish bands i can listen to? (and when I say Spanish I'm referring to the lyrics. I don't want a band that originated from Chile that sings in English if you catch my drift) I'm sure most of you guys can guess what kind of music I listen to judging by my ava and posts and such, but I'm mostly into pop-punk, rock, and alternative rock. A Youtube link or two would also be awesome.

Thanks so much. :)

These guys are my Spanish friends' favourite band. And they have pretty much the best band name ever.

Don't think I know anymore than that, sorry!

Holy shit, how could I have forgotten this?

Actually, I'm not even sure if he's speaking Spanish in anything apart from the chorus.

Estopa? Yeah, kind of pop rock. My spanish flatmate introduced them too me. Apparently that song is about a girl being so beautiful that a guy crashes his Seat Panda

Story time? :P

Haha, okay.

It all starts with my friend going to a hardcore festival in Belgium. Obviously, drinking ensues. During one of the midnight raves in a random dance tent, this song gets played. Everyone of course proceeds to lose their shit, and it gets played constantly every night of the festival after that.

After returning to Ireland, my friend downloaded the song, of course. One night we went out to a pop punk night, run by another friend. The DJing was all off an iPod, very professional. Anyway, while the DJ was talking to one of his friends, my friend hooked up his iPod and proceeded to blast the shit out of it to a room of skinny kids with piercings and bad fringes. Incredible.

Actually, it wasn't even that ridiculous, now that I type it up. Probably one of those "you had to be there" things :P

Haha! Sounds intriguing to say the least!

Nah, if I ever heard that song in a club I think I'd loose my shit. The beat is just so funny and catchy. At least now I'm a expert at saying "Two beers, please" in Spanish!

I had it all built up as such a good story in my head, haha. Such a fail.

That's literally all the Spanish I know, haha, purely from that song.

I'd recommend Cafe Tacuba, they are one of my favorite bands of all time.  They are a mix of different genres and musical styles. They are consider alternative rock, but they always like to incorporate their Latin culture into their music.  You should give them a try, they are really good.

I just stumpled across this band called No Relax. There's a lot of their songs on YouTube, sometimes with lyrics, and I really liked most of their stuff. Although they often sing in Italian as well but most of it is Spanish from what I can tell.
