Do you guys think it's really FOB? http://www.kerrang.c...o-6-soundtrack/

yeah, I read another thing somewhere that said they had a song in the soundtrack.

Actually I heard that news, and then later in the day saw the trailer on TV. But the Australian trailer must be different because they used a song from SRAR. So I'd been wondering why people were excited about it

Oh, that's nice! That means new music is on the way (though we already knew that)

For most of the video I thought the same but that one part where the vocals on the song are more obvious, it sounded too high pitched for him, not saying that he cannot get that high but his voice has a slightly different tone at that pitch.

I agree... and it's not just "Centuries" :(  On their last album "Save Rock And Roll"  are a few good songs (like "The Pheonix") but also a lot of stuff that is  in my opinion a bit to pop-ish or sometimes even hiphop-ish :ermm:

I agree with you guys for the most part. I enjoy when rock/pop punk and rap/hip hop collide though - then you get bands like 21 Pilots and songs like The Mighty Fall (though it's not one of my faves). Lots of the songs on Save R&R were catchy and cool imo, but the only one I really loved was Death Valley cause it wasn't as pop-ish. I really enjoyed Pax Am Days, their little EP or whatever, cause all the songs had a Death Valley kind of feel to them.

In general I also like it when genres collide (there is a German band that I really like, that has a unique style, which is according to the German Wikipedia Rap-Rock,Indie-Rock,Punk-Rock and Garage Rock*) but for some reason I just don't really like it on the new FOB record :ermm:

Why do things always go wrong for bands I've just got into? MCR split up the day I started being really interested and now Centuries comes out and is ridiculous the week I get back into FOB after 9 years. Damn.

Thank you, many people haven't

I'm just really annoyed with myself about FOB because I absolutely loved From Under The Cork Tree, but I was easily influenced by people and let them talk me into being embarrassed by it. So that put me off Infinity On High, which I finally listened to in full the other day, and it's awesome. I didn't even really appreciate it when I saw them live at a festival in 2009.

well I haven't seen them live yet but they're not on tour in Europe atm so I guess I'll have to wait to find out myself... In my opinion From Under The Cork Tree is their best album

tbf I haven't listened to FOB since Cork Tree, so that might explain why the change is so shocking.

the thing I'm counting on is that the rest of their next album might not sound so much like the song and a half we've heard. When SRAR came out I only heard My Songs at first, and wasn't very into it. But when I listened to the rest of the album it really grew on me  I'm hoping that'll happen this time too. Centuries and the new song (Immortals?) remind me a lot of My Songs, so maybe I'll like the other songs on the album more, whenever it comes out.

still, I do like Centuries. Won't ever be my favourite but it's alright

the 'internet band' that I am fortunate enough to be apart of, The Cheese and Bacons will be covering 'Sophmore slump or comeback of the year'

The band consists of 4 members of GDC!
Hammie Stein on lead guitar
HarryBlue on drums
Not Anyone on bass
and myself on vocals and rhythm guitar

I'll keep you updated when it's ready for YouTube release!

I feel like they are taking another step away from what made them so good. Wasn't a big fan of the last album, but this one is sounding pretty bad.
