Look at how low the trilogy is :(

It was just released and had barely any promotion. I wouldn't expect the sales to be huge at the moment.

Artwork Facts
1.All Green Day albums without human faces(AI and Dookie) have been bigger hits compared to the ones with human faces.(Kerplunk,Insomniac,Nimrod,Warning,21stCB, Uno-Dos- Tre)

2.Green Day albums featuring members of the band on cover art(Billie,Mike,Tre) have never received Platinum status.(Warning, Uno-Dos-Tre, too early to say but I don't think they will :/)

Video Facts:

1.The guy who directed the music videos for Waiting, 21 guns and 21st century breakdown is none other than Mark Webb-The director for the amazing spiderman

2.Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams Video, which received 7 VMAs(the 2nd highest for a song) was never officially released on youtube.

3.Green Day has won the maximum number of MTV VMAs, AFTER Madonna.

Sales Facts:

1.Dookie, with 16 Million sales worldwide is the only Green Day album to have more sales in the US than worldwide(10 Million in US + 6 Million Worldwide)

2.Green Day is in the elite Artists club with two or more albums receiving 5x Platinum certification by the RIAA.(Not many artists who are active even today have this distinction)

3.Green Day's Dookie has sold more copies worldwide than Muse,My Chemical Romance, Paramore or Goo Goo Doll's entire Discography(source:perezhilton)

Critical Acclaim Facts:

1.No album of Green Day(Studio,Compilation or Live) has ever received a score below 60(indicating Positive reviews) on Metacritic.

2.American Idiot(80/100) was the best certified rock album to receive a multi-platinum certification. Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head also got 80/100 but it was 4x Platinum while American Idiot was 5x (may become 6x by this year, as it has already sold more than 6 million copies).

1000 Hours is in Eb, not D tuning. I'm also pretty sure that the cover of knowledge is in standard.

Knowledge is definitely in Eb tuning. The chords are C#, B, and F#.

Woops, my bad. I got confused. The Op Ivy version is in D, and the Green Day version is in E. Got mixed up.

1000 Hours is in Eb, not D tuning. I'm also pretty sure that the cover of knowledge is in standard. 39/Smooth and the extra song (I Want to Be Alone) are in standard. On Kerplunk, they tried to tune in standard by ear and which proves that they suck at tuning by ear. Only one song on Warning (Misery) and two songs on 21t Century Breakdown (21st Century Breakdown, Before the Lobotomy) are in Eb and one song on 21cb (Restless Heart Syndrome) is in D tuning. The EP that sounds most offtuned is Sweet Chilldren which sounds a tiny bit lower than Kerplunk.

On Warning, Misery and Castaway are in Eb tuning while Jackass is in an in-between tuning. Kerplunk is tuned to Eb by ear, with Words I Might Have Ate being in-between.
