Both Dos and Uno were placed on the 2nd and 3d ranks respectively in the Russian Rolling Stone magazine... They have lots of fans out there :)

I was surprised that Russian fans liked Dos way more than Uno...

That's fantastic! I bet the band is as thrilled as we are! :runaround:

2012 was a terrible year for mainstream music. As much as I think this trilogy has its flaws, I believe all three albums should be ranked higher in the list. (Or at least Uno! and Dos!, considering Tre hasn't even been officially released yet).

Really? It's a good news for the trilogy and the band! :)

I'm curious whether the high ranking is because of the quality of the record or Billie's meltdown.

I hope it's for their album...but I'm curious too!

This annoys me tbh. Tre's awkward release right at the end of the year means it isn't getting as much recognition as the other two, despite the fact that (in most people's opinions) it's significantly better.

Personally, I believe Enter Shikari's A Flash Flood of Colour, Deftone's Koi No Yokan and Stone Sour's House of Gold and Bones better than the trilogy. So does anyone have a link yet? Cos I'm eager to find out what surpassed UNO cos quite frankly it should be higher. Or at least DOS

Hmm, I'm thinking its more so of the album, not his 'meltdown'

I'm really surprised but really happy! I definitely used to be like #1 or bust but this is great in today's industry.

It's Rolling Stone, it will more than likely be Bob Dylan's new album.

Yes, I'd bet money on it. It was well-received too, but even if it wasn't they'd pick Dylan

Well, good news for Uno! Now, Grammy nominations are tomorrow morning and Uno is the only album eligible this year, so here's hoping for something... methinks people who vote for that would include a lot of the Rolling Stone crowd, who seem to like Green Day.

Well if Uno! wins a Grammy I'll jump off a moving train into a moat of crocodiles. Not that the album is the worst thing ever, but seriously, if that's Grammy award winning material sign me up because I think I could nag one or two myself.

Good call. I was thinking Mumford and Sons. I'm looking through this website here and not seeing too much that could trump it. There is Jack White's album that was released this year, too...and Rolling Stone [rightfully so] loves Jack White. They also love Lana Del Rey, so who knows who has the number one spot....

Side note: I subscribe to Rolling Stone, but I haven't gotten this issue in the mail yet. :( The last one I got was the one with Jimmy Page on the cover. Bummer.

Not a terrible list. Some great albums in there. Good to see Japandroids, Titus Andronicus and Best Coast in there.

Surprised Uno passed Babel. That album crushed Uno in the release week and rightfully earned that number one spot in sales.

Glad to see some not so well known bands on that list. It seems like these days everyone pays attention to whoever makes that rap stuff. (Excluding the fact that I only like Billie's voice in Nightlife)
