I wasn't a big fan of Dos, as evident by my minimal choices from that album. Uno and Tre pack a lot of my favorites and I wanted to focus on a lot of the bigger rocking tunes, which explains my minimal choices of ballads from the trilogy. I believe that this would be a good classic Green Day album, even Grammy-worthy. The singles were picked and tried to resemble the choices from 21st Century Breakdown and American Idiot. A few big rocking songs, followed by a ballad or two. Hope this represents the trilogy well!

For my playlist, I structured the songs as if they were appearing on a double vinyl album (in keeping with the retro guitar tone). The results:

Album track listing:

LP One, Side One

1. See You Tonight

2. Dirty Rotten Bastards

3. Stay the Night

4. Stop When the Red Lights Flash

5. Carpe Diem

6. Fell for You

LP One, Side Two

7. Missing You

8. Angel Blue

9. Rusty James

10. Nuclear Family

11. Oh Love

LP Two, Side One

1. Brutal Love

2. Let Yourself Go

3. Lazy Bones

4. Stray Heart

5. Kill the DJ

LP Two, Side Two

6. X-Kid

7. Drama Queen

8. Amanda

9. Wow! That's Loud

10. Amy

Single choices:

"Nuclear Family"

"X-Kid"

"Amy"

"Stay the Night"

"Lazy Bones"

I'm a big fan of 60s and 70s powerpop, and I loved how Green Day went even more in that powerpop direction on the trilogy than they had in the past, at least IMO. These are my favorite moments from the trilogy, some that have that super sweet powerpop vibe, and others that are just straight rock n roll, its basically just all over the place, but all my favorites none the less.

1 Stay The Night

2 Missing You

3 Let Yourself Go

4 Fell For You

5 8th Avenue Serenade

6 X-Kid

7 Sex, Drugs & Violence

8 Little Boy Named Train

9 Amanda

10 Walk Away

11 Baby Eyes

12 Loss Of Control

13 Angel Blue

14 Sweet 16

15 Rusty James

16 Amy

Man it's hard for me to narrow it down. I genuinely like at least 30 of the songs, probably closer to 35 to be fair. I'll do my best...

I'm choosing to have see you tonight lead into let yourself go as I always felt that the next song should start hard and heavy.

1. See you tonight

2. Let Yourself Go

3. Stop When The Red Lights Flash

4. Missing You

5. Lazy Bones

6. Stray Heart

7. Dirty Rotten Bastards

These are all the trilogy songs I actually like, in the order I think works best. They flow really well, especially Walk Away into Amy into X Kid.

5. Missing You
6. Let Yourself Go
7. Kill The DJ

Mine would probably be called Nuclear Family or simply Green Day. Easily makes an instant classic Green Day album.

1. See You Tonight

2. Nuclear Family

3. Fuck Time

4. X-Kid

5. Missing You

6. Lazy Bones

7. Wow that's Loud

8. Oh Love

9. 8th Avenue Serenade

10. Stray Heart

11. Stay The Night

12. Dirty Rotten Bastards

13. 99 Revolutions

14. The Forgotten

15. Amy (secret track possibly connected to The Forgotten)

Singles:

Double A-side: Nuclear Family/Stray Heart

Stay the Night b/w Amanda and Fell For You

X-Kid  b/w Angel Blue

Dirty Rotten Bastards b/w Loss of Control

non-LP Drama Queen EP to be released a few months or so after the album for like touring promotion or something

1. Sweet 16

2. Drama Queen

3. Walk Away

4. Rusty James

After Green Day takes a break, they could release a comp of the b-sides from 2004-2012  and release a non-Lp Kill The DJ/Let Yourself Go single

Now I know that's a lot of music and rather unrealistic but I think that over time, this could work well in marketing.

Most of the lists here seem to start with a slower song but I really think Green Day records are the best when they get straight into it, hence Loss Of Control
