Your "Uno! Dos! Tre!"-Album

DTH

Recommended Posts

it might be a bit early, but since we have an edit button i couldn't resist to start it now.

what i think is important to think about is the song order. imagine you are green day have recorded 37 finished songs and have to think about which of them you put on the best album of your carreer. ;) so like there never have been three single albums.

i would say 12 - 20 tracks are a normal lenght for a single green day album.

here is my "uno! dos! tre!" album (for now). brevity is the soul of wit in my opinion.

1. Brutal Love

2. Ashley

3. Baby Eyes

4. Wild One

5. Rusty James

6. Stray Heart

7. Lazy Bones

8. X-Kid

9. Nuclear Family

10. Wow! Thats loud

11. Fuck Time

12. Lady Cobra

13. Loss of Control

14. 8th Avenue Serenade

15. Sweet 16

16. Dirty Rotten Bastards

p.s: i really like the progression lazy bones, x-kid and nuclear family on here :)

1st: "im to tired to be bored..."

2nd: "hey, hey x-kid did you wake up late one day?"

3rd: "gonna ride the world like a merry-go-round" fuck that shit, here we go again! im not dead yet.

i really like your tracklist. i love that we are able now to experiment so much with the songs and their order and feel like listening to a different album every time. and its not like mixing dookie with insomniac and nimrod or so....

here all songs belong together.

My ideal trilogy album would be 13 tracks long. It was hard to drag them down to this but it'd go like this:

1. Ashley

2. Troublemaker

3. 8th Avenue Serenade

4. Nuclear Family

5. Stop When the Red Lights Flash

6. Loss of Control

7. X-Kid

8. Lazy Bones

9. Makeout Party

10. Let Yourself Go

11. Sweet 16

12. Wow! That's Loud

13. Dirty Rotten Bastards

I'll have to listen to Tre a couple more times before I make my list, but I agree with you DTH that Brutal Love would make a good album opener or even closer.

Aw I was gonna make this thread :( lol I'd have (I really would have composed the songs differently, eg Nuclear Family lyrics on music of Makeout Party)

(random order)

1. Nuclear Family

2. Stay The Night

3. Rusty James

4. Oh Love

5. Stray Heart

6. Angel Blue

7. Stop When The Red Lights Flash

8. Lazy Bones

9. Lady Cobra

10. Missing You

11. X-Kid

12. 99 Revolutions

13. Dirty Rotten Bastards

Singles: Stay The Night, Missing You, X-Kid, SWTRLF

Probably will change I've only just heard Tre.

Have you understood See You Tonight/DRB would be a perfect intro? And why only Trè has the "¡" ? LOL

yes that would be best intro.

An acoustic intro with then a song starting with mid-tempo, continuing with a fast-tempo and ending with a slow/epic tempo. It would be sorta Song Of The Century/21st CB, but a lot better xD

Actually, come to think of it, See You Tonight followed by Dirty Rotten Bastards would be an awesome album opener. However, the epicness of this arrangement would simply be too epic for our brains

Yes Brutal Love would be a good outro to. But I liked the idea to have rusty james as last song because it´s about green day somehow

I was the first one to think to this. *fuckyea*

I've actually decided its not worth adulterating tre's flow to make a trilogy album. UNO and dos are basically filler so there could be three albums. I'll just keep tre and try to forget the other two happened.
