I absolutely love how this one turned out, it's even better than the live version. Beautiful. The only reason why it doesn't get 10/10 is because the line "She's old enough to bleed now" always makes me cringe. I now he's probably not singing about periods, but I just can't get that image out of my mind.

He's totally singing about periods. Oh god when I first heard that I had that 'ew-dad-gross' reaction, which I'm not sure will ever go away.

I don't like the high notes in Drama Queen though, they come off whiny to me. Which is weird because he's done them before, he can do them, just... I dunno...

I'd like to know everyone's thoughts in a few weeks, if not months.

With ¡Uno!, for the first week or so, it's awesome. After that, opinions go down hill. But then come back up as we realize it's a great.  At least with me.

I think they should've referenced She and had the lyrics "Sex drugs and violence, she still screams in silence, pleading bloody murder, gimme gimme danger"

If i made that up off the top of my head think about how many better things they could've come up with. Other than that, I think Tre may be my favorite Green Day album, up there with AI and 21CBD (come at me)

It'd also be referring back to Nuclear Family in a way as well with the "bloody murder" line. I'm a sucker for references to older songs though, like "Whatshisface" first appearing on Whatsername and then Loss of Control, so I guess I wouldn't have minded those lines. I like it the way it is too.

I want a multi-track of 99 Revolutions, because I believe slapping some filters on the guitar track to make it really let loose would almost make the ad nauseum repetitions of the chorus tolerable.

Sad to say, I'm still just having a hard time getting too excited about, well, anything on Tre. None of the songs on it really speak to me, lyrically or musically. I don't think anyone will go around saying that Uno had the most profound lyrics ever written by Green Day, but they captured some great rhythms and made it a really fun, balls-out album, if not their absolute best work. Tre should've felt like that too, but for whatever reason, they dialed the arrangements back instead of just letting the guitars go into beast mode.

After I listened to Tre while feeling a bit depressed, I realized that this is really a reflective album and a sad one.

Billie's talent in song writing is getting a lot better. It sounds cheerful but at the same time it's so sad.

I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but what about a link between Drama Queen and X Kid?

I know what X Kid is about from what Billie said in that interview, but when I listened to the whole album and found them one after the other it came so natural to me. Plus lyrics, especially that line, and you’re numb to your old glory... Well I always listen to them together now  :P

short review/rating of myself after i listened to tré a few times..ill still need more time and let the songs grow on me more

...at first i need to say that the ballads are all very awesome with a deep meaning behind the lyrics, but as always i enjoy the faster (punk) songs of GD..

all in all tré is a nice album and GD didnt lie when they told us that its kinda self-reflecting..i can listen to this songs and think about whats going on in my own life...also out of all the short snippets ive heard before Amanda (Amy and Stay The Night) are the songs i was looking forward to the most, and they didnt disappoint me :)

Well, after a couple if listens, I have to say Tré is a damn good record. Definitely the best of the trilogy. Eventhough my expectations were incredibly high because of all the hype here at GDC, I wasn't let down. I understand what the band meant with Tré being the more epic record. It's more complex and exciting in a musical way than Uno and Dos with songs like Brutal Love or Dirty Rotten Bastards.

According to my iTunes rating, Tré is a pretty good 4,1/5 :)

Well, I don't think ¡Tré! is a bad record by any means, but I don't like it as much as the other two. None of the songs really grabbed me like the ones on ¡Uno! and ¡Dos!. Maybe it will grow on me the more I listen to it, though. :)  That often happens with music for me.

Its possible because someone tweeted Blake Lively asking why they tweeted it and then deleted it and she replied with "They did what? Sorry, but I´ve a bit confuse"

I thought the album was the best of the trilogy. It has a really good sound to it, and I found it to be more emotional than the other two. X-Kid and Dirty Rotten Bastards are the best songs on the trilogy, in my opinion.

I don't like ranking Green Day albums as a whole, though. Each era has been completely different from the last and it'd be unfair to base opinions on the musical style of past eras.

You could be right, looking through her Wikipedia page I can't see why she'd have a new Green Day single to release. She doesn't seem to have her own radio show or anything :S Hopefully we'll get a new single soon though!
