I searched and didn't find a thread like this, and I thought it would be a fun thread. Anyways, pretty self-explanetory. My family usually likes to listen to older Christmas music, like Jim Reeves' or Nat King Cole's Christmas albums. We also listen to alot of old big band Christmas stuff. What do you guys listen to for Christmas?

EDIT: Shit, I thought I was in the Other Band section, can someone move it there? Sorry for making myself look like an idiot.

All I Want For Christmas Is You by (the queen) Mariah Carey is my favourite ever Christmas song. :) That always gets played. On the actual day we always go to see my grandparents, and as we open their presents and have mince pies, they have this record playing of some reaallyy old Christmas tunes. I don't even know who they're by. I don't particularly like them - in all honesty - but I like how I always associate that sound with happy memories. :)

Also, last year Gaga recorded some Christmas-y tunes for her Thanksgiving special so I shall be enjoying them again this year. :D

My mom has a lot of christmas CDs and vinyl records. So anything that's on there gets played. Adds to the atmosphere or something. And of course when the holiday is over those songs are stuck in my head

I find myself listening to the same Christmas songs every year, it's more or less a good mix of normal pop christmas songs like Last Christmas (guilty pleasure), that Mariah Carey Coca Cola song, Do they know it's Christmas and so on... the usual stuff played on the radio. Plus, some songs that fit my taste in music a bit more like the Christmas album by a German punkband called Die Toten Hosen, Jimmy Eat World's version of Last Christmas, etc.

Oh, and also Train - Shake Up Christmas, mainly because I love this commercial so much.

We usually start tp listening to regular xmas music after thanksgiving...I think my favorite are the very special xmas compliations. But my all time favorite xmas has to be the Christmas song sung by Toni Braxton.

everything gets so overplayed, then it starts on the radio non stop EVERY FRICKEN CHANNEL about a week to couple days prior to Thanksgiving so Xmas music gets annoying by the 2nd full week of December

John Lennon & Yoko Ono - Happy Xmas (War Is Over). There's a bunch of others too but I thought I'd just pick out a favourite. http://www.greendaycommunity.org/public/...

i like that song, i like Paul's song he does for the holidays, i like Wham's stuff.... i really don't care for the old shit... unless its peace on earth/little drummer boy by bing crosby and david bowie then that's fine...
