¡DOS! Album

I never really had a least favorite GD album....until now. I'm not a fan of Dos at all. I love Lazy Bones a lot, and Stray Heart is great, but overall I'm just not feeling this album. /unpopularopinion

It won't be an unpopular opinion, or at least it shouldn't be :) Obviously people have their own expectations from albums and have a certain style that they really dig which other's don't. For me, this is probably my favourite Green Day album, but that doesn't make me shun your opinion at all because it's all subjective :)

I envy you seriously. It's during the second "please". I hate being able to pick out things like that...I do it with most music. A curse of mine.

I listened to it again, your hint was a help. Yes, you´re right, sounds like a "jump" in the word "please". From rather silent to slightly louder. Well, yes, what does it mean...?

Just the way he wanted to sing it

I noticed some pictures people posted of the booklet had edited lyric sheets (the regular case not the boxset version) thankfully the ones i got from Target had the unedited lyric sheets

Ashley is the only song I like on Dos, so that makes for 4 likable songs out of 2 albums so far. Meh.

Eh, Dos is basically Green Day saying "What if we did Foxboro Hot Tubs again but this time people besides extreme fans will notice/care?"

Most songs sound like fillers (e.g. Wild One, Makeout Party (Mike's bass saves it somewhat), Lady Cobra, Wow! That's loud), and Nightlife is the worst song they have ever done. I managed to listen through it the 1st time, but after that it has been a skip after 10-15 seconds into the rapping. I mean I have never been a rapping fan, but it can sound adequate. This doesn't. Billie Joe's parts are Okay, but no. I'm okay for them to try out something new, but this went too far for me.

I agree. It's cool that Green Day are experimenting, I just think they did it with the wrong person.

Actually managed to wait for release day, and I fucking love this album. I had a big goofy grin on my face throughout all of Makeout Party, and also absolutely loved Lazy Bones, Stray Heart, Ashley, Baby Eyes, Lady Cobra, and Wow! That's Loud. I even liked Nightlife, which I did not expect to do. This might become one of my favorite Green Day albums ever.

This album seems to have really divided opinion. Personally, it's amazing and I'd be happy if this was what had been released as a solo album instead of part of a trilogy, but I can see why those who dislike FBHT dislike it....

im Looking For All Evidince About Dos Being The Second Album Of Foxboro Hot Tubs

Fuck Time

"It's Fuck Time" and Green Day's ¡Dos! (2010-present)

On April 23, 2010, the band played their first new song since 2008 at a show in New York City called "It's Fuck Time". On October 31, 2010 during the 21st Century Breakdown World Tour as Green Day, the band performed a brief set as Foxboro Hot Tubs before the support band as a Halloween surprise at the Manchester MEN Arena.

On June 14, 2012, Green Day released a trailer for their upcoming album ¡Uno!. An erase board with new song titles featured the Foxboro Hot Tubs song "It's Fuck Time" which has only been played live so far, indicating that it will be released on Green Day's upcoming album trilogy , the song would later be used for the trailer of the album ¡Dos!. On August 22, 2012, in an interview on BBC Radio One, Armstrong, confirmed that the song would appear on ¡Dos! and stated that it could be a possible single.[10] In various interviews promoting Green Day's upcoming trilogy of albums called, ¡Uno! ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, they have stated that the album, ¡Dos! would have "a Foxboro Hot Tubs-garage kind of feel".[11][12]

“¡Dos! would be the second album from Foxboro Hot Tubs”

or... as said when it was first leaked

"the accurate translation would be "¡dos! was going to be the second album of foxboro hot tubs or would have been, not would be""

"Question:One song on Dos!, "Fuck Time," is something you mentioned to me back when the theatrical version of American Idiot was getting started on Broadway.

Anwser:

A guy in the cast, Theo Stockman, started calling himself the King of Fuck. Then it got into a thing where everytime they got ready for a show, the cast members got in a circle, put their hands in the middle and went, "One, two, three, it's fuck time!" I just wrote the song. We did it as Foxboro Hot Tubs at a club in New York, Don Hill's, because we knew some of the cast members would be there. We ended up playing it ten times in a row.

We thought it would stay a Foxboro Hot Tubs song. But the more we played it, we thought, "This is pretty good. Why should we give it to our alterego?"

Dos is like Foxboro Hot Tubs, yes.

But it's not the second album. It's under the name and label of Green Day not Foxboro Hot Tubs.

There's a difference between being experimental and being lazy. I could point to a million examples no one gives a fuck about, like Claudio Sanchez's solo project The Prize Fighter Inferno, or the song "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues" by Senses Fail, which are crazy weird but also really fucking awesome.

I'm sorry but there was not a single song on Dos that struck me as creative. Lazy Bones and Ashley were the only enjoyable songs to me and I didn't even think those were creative, they were just kind of fun and catchy.

I bought DOS at Hot Topic today and that sticker on the top said " DOS ( pa version) ". What does that mean ?

Parental Advisory, I'd guess. That or it's from Pennsylvania.

I feel like this post brings out some "conspiracy-ness".

To get it straight, DOS is LIKE. hear me clear. LIKE something they'd put under Foxboro Hot Tubs. It has a remiensce of FBHT, but it's just under the Green Day name.

There's no need to "search for evidence" Just listen to both DOS and Stop, Drop, and Roll !!!. There's all your evidence.

of course it's GD since it says GD on the cover. BUT Green Day themselves said it is like the second FBHT album at the same time

Parental advisory stickers were invented by the music industry to trick kids into buying more records by appealing to their sense of being cool. Not really, but it sure has worked out that way.
