I know many of you have been concerned about the promotions for ¡Dos!, especially with the band out of the spotlight. So lets promote the album ourselves!

What we need? Designs! Can someone make some images with the album cover that saying "New Green Day album coming November 13th" so that we can share them across social media.

I want us to get the word out as much as we can. I'll be pushing for it on GDA's accounts. Lets get a grassroots effort going to try and make as many people as possible aware this album is coming in just 2 weeks.

Give me your ideas on how else we can further promote this.

Tomorrow we'll be updating the design on GDA. Nothing drastic, just changing the banner up top to orange like the Dos cover, and all the links will be orange instead of green.

Plus tumblr would be a great way of sharing photos, adverts, all directing people to iTunes or to greenday.com

I love you! This is a great idea and a wonderful way to support the band and their trilogy!!
Imagine how happy Billie, Mike, and Tré would be if we were able to really get the word out there and help Dos do well. :wub:

No ideas yet, but whatever we do needs to be consistent and frequent - don't let anyone miss it, and make sure it's something people will see often enough that it sticks in their heads and influences them to actually check out the new music.

Maybe someone can sneak around some active punk/rock forums and make some threads there? I'm not suggesting spamming, this is bad, but if there's GD related thread, it's a good thing to bring some action there. And if there isn't, it's also a good reason to start one.

I'd be cool if somebody could make an eye-catching gif advertising DOS (containing the release date) which we could use in signatures on other forums, on Twitter/Facebook, or post in comment sections on music websites and various other annoying places possible Green-Day-fans-of-the-future could be lurking. :)

Yeah we definitely don't want to spam. I just brought up the idea with GDA editors of us writing up a story with the top reasons we're excited for Dos. Maybe something like that could be shared in relevant places.

We should definitely try to reach out to the big stations and request Stray Heart. KROQ, Radio One, ... that's all I know.
