Fantastic US series, I'm watching it at the moment. Would strongly recommend it to anybody. The premise is an American soldier who was captured in Bagdad is rescued after 8 years of being a prisoner of war, and is hailed a hero when he returns home. But a female intelligence officer is convinced he has been turned while he was captured and is now plotting against America.
Such a tense, addictive show.

I love Damien Lewis too! From what I heard the major difference between the two shows is that the Israeli one is more graphic...
This is way off topic but I started watching a new show called "Timrot Ashan" (or Pillars Of Smoke in English) and it's incredible, I wont be surprised if it would be sold abroad as well (its like Lost only without the island and with cowboys and 60 times more tense)

EDIT: Looked it up and found out that NBC is producing it in English... Gonna watch the shit out of that!

EDIT 2: NBC made a pilot, but they didn't make it into a full series... :'(

Season 2 is starting in Ireland on Tuesday. So glad as it's impossible to stay spoiler free for very long these days.

I saw it when it first premiered and I instantly fell in love with it.

The season premiere was decent, just a little slow in my opinion. However, it did a good job setting the bar for the rest of the season and the previews for what lies in store looks fantastic!

Really enjoyed the first episode of the 2nd series, it's going to keep me pinned to the tv like the first series did i can tell.

i read somewhere that they plan to make 7 series of this and have the rough idea for each one already set out. 7 :shok:

as long as they don't send it down the direction Lost went (where you no longer cared what happened anymore! :) )

I never watched the American version but the Israeli version seems great. It's a deep subject and now the second season began here in Israel

Me too! hes great.. Claire Danes is wonderful in this show as well.

This show is kinda weird for me though cause I still can't tell who I'm rooting for.
They did a good job creating characters that aren't defined as good or bad, they're just people..

This show gets better and better - can never work out how they will run a whole series when the story gets pushed to the extreme, but they manage it again and again.

only thing that bothers me is Brody's kids - the boy acts like he is 8 and the girl needs a slap or learn to smile or something :)

Not really loving the last two episodes ... everything was just SO convenient and I feel like the writing was sloppy. But if they can deliver a knockout finale, I'll deal.

Aw, I love the daughter - all the calamitous stuff going on, and she's all about her own issues, midst of it all she's a teenage girl rolling her eyes at how lame her parents are.  The great thing about Homeland is the relationships, how they shift with circumstance, what people will do when push comes to shove, what stays true - yeah, I feel like overall it's about searching for that core.

Also, Chris is the mole. It's the only explanation for him being so oblivious.

Have you seen the ending to series 2 yet?  The phrase OH MY GOD should only be used in describing this programme.

A week later and i'm still not sure how to feel. I let out an audible gasp, so in that respect I loved that it shocked me, but whether it would be the best decision for the show, I don't know.

I'd really love to watch it. I'm probably getting Netflix soon for Arrested Development so I'll watch it then.
