I just live a few miles outside of Santa Cruz. I've lived pretty much in every town around the area, EXCEPT Santa Cruz itself at this point, haha.
I'm thinking about maybe going to the Sacramento one as well, since my mom lives up there and I could just crash the night at her house afterwords, but that's a strong "maybe". I've seriously been thinking about this show all goddamn day! Me lecture notes look like shit cuz I couldn't focus. Oh well!

I go to school in Santa Cruz, and literally live 5 blocks from the Civic Auditorium. I can't breathe. This is literally the best news ever.
Sorry if I'm being nosy, but do you go to UCSC or Cabrillo? I only ask because I'm going to Cabrillo as of now, myself.

i am copy and pasting this from the sacremento thread. someone posted this:
"I just saw this a ticket site selling tickets already.
Sacramento Memorial Auditorium: 107 tickets; cheapest yet: 135; average price 162;
How much do Green Day Sacramento tickets cost? Green Day ticket prices start at 135 and average about 162. gruvr found
We started tracking the market for this event on Sep 10th. Initially, 87 tickets were available at average price 162. The number of Green Day Sacramento tickets for sale has since increased 23% to 107. The lowest price seen yet is 135, with a variance of 6. Looking to buy for less?"
don't know if this is accurate, but maybe it gives us an idea of cost?

Hmm...I think I've seen something similar before about tickets being $100+ too, that's why I'm so curious to know...
I really hope they're under $80 though, that would really be a lifesaver. I know when I saw them in SBC Park awhile back, tickets were $60 for crappy nose bleed seats so they're probably double that now.
Although, from what I've seen of the Civic's other shows the seats are fairly average prices. I'm debating seeing Bill Maher (a comedian) and his tickets are only about $50 which is considered cheap compared to his other shows. So I'm hoping this show is no different.

Still debating if I want to go to this show or not
Why wouldn't you!?
I'm definitely going. I've only been to a handful of shows in Santa Cruz, but for all of them it seemed like the crowds were way better than over the hill.
I agree. The crowds are generally smaller and less annoying (as far as I've experienced). There's a pretty tight knit music scene here so I think this is a perfect fit!

That was from a ticket reseller, not the venue. There are tickets for sale already at inflated prices. I don't know how they got their hands on tickets, but several sites are trying to sell them above cost.

I hope to see you all there. Also, I hope to get a floor ticket. Though the stage is pretty high off the ground, so...
Same! But in the end, a ticket is a ticket. I'm just glad I can go *knock on wood*.
