Reno is on the wish list! I'm so nervous to see how presales turn out. I haven't had the best of luck with IC in the past.

I might do the 8 hour drive there. Hoping to make it to this show! All depends on School.
Whats the Grand Sierra arena like?

I was going to say/ask all of this. Very tempted to make the drive if they don't announce any SoCal shows. Is this arena big, or what?I might do the 8 hour drive there. Hoping to make it to this show! All depends on School.

Well, the Grand Theater is mainly used for shows (magic, acrobatics, etc). I'm calling the Grand Sierra to check that the booths will be removed, though I can't imagine why they wouldn't be. No way people would sit down at a rock concert, right?

Isn't it 2013, Bryony?
edit: forget it. americans use a different date system that always misleads me. dammit.

Alright, so the regular tables and chairs will be removed so people can move about. But the booths, naturally, are very permanent things. I guess they'll be a safe haven for children/those who get tired. Which means I'm definitely getting a 'seat' down in the orchestra pit.

It's hard to visualize a Green Day show in there, but I guess they'll find a way. It's going to be mindblowing to see them in such intimate spaces on the national tour.

Wow, that's the whole theater? It looks like the Warfield but without the balcony, which means it's tiny
I might try for this show too

As a life-long Reno-ite, I can tell you that this city is incapable of doing things right. There are other intimate venues that wouldn't have felt cramped and weird. The only thing good about the Grand Theater is that it has the world's largest indoor stage. What, are the guys gonna walk onto the stage from a jumbo jet? (Admittedly, that sounds kind of cool.)
Edit: though I suppose you can't really blame Reno, it's the touring manager that fecked up.
