Gerard Way replied to me on twitter today. I'm way more excited than I should be.

I'm so proud. It's quite the groundbreaking conversation (if you can even call it that much) isn't it?

While I do believe that Weighted is definitely the best thing Frank has done so far I'm still not really into it. Maybe it will grow on me? I don't know.

The part about Danger Days hurts, and it honestly pisses me off. Greatly.

What did it say?

Also, I've been thinking about getting Life On The Murder Scene and The Black Parade Is Dead lately, is it worth it?

Life on the Murder Scene's pretty good from what I remember, I haven't watched it in a while though. The documentary/video diary part can get a bit depressing but it's still alright

I've seen the video diary, it's on youtube. But I'm talking about the live CD/DVD portions.

What did it say?

He said that he wishes that The Black Parade had been the last album because that's what he had planned and he "couldn't think of a better ending than that". And then when asked why they didn't end it at The Black Parade he said because of careers, mortgages, families, and the record label. It just rubs me the wrong way.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part of the interview. It does seem pretty off, for lack of a better term.

From a fan's perspective I totally get that. It makes Danger Days come across as less authentic in a way. But personally I love it, so I'm glad we have it, regardless as why. From an artist's perspective, if he needed to carry on for the sake of his family and their lifestyle, who can blame him?

And now i totally get it. That's what i was feeling with DD too. That they didn't feel like doing that album. It didn't have the emotion or the power the other albums had and this has always been the strong part of mcr's music. Glad they stopped though if they were gonna continue to put out soulless records like DD.

So glad they did put out DD though. Cause if they didn't I'd have never have seen them live. I was too young with TBP came around.

I mean, I'm glad we have it because I love Danger Days so much, and that's why I'm upset. I just wish he hadn't dissed it like that. It honestly seemed like Gerard was really proud of the album and that he loved touring it so that's why I'm confused as to why he said that. Maybe he's just trying to give himself more reasons to why it's good that MCR ended, but still. It kinda ruins a lot of the overall meaning of the album for me.

He's said recently how proud of Danger Days he still is. I look at like this-

The Black Parade ended on a high note, they were thinking of ending it. We know that. Then because of pressure from the label and fans, etc. they decided to push on and try to make another record. Conventional Weapons is what that became. They scrapped that because they didn't feel like the passion was there, and then they made a record that was fueled by passion and creativity to rebel against that. And that's Danger Days. There's no denying that DD has a lot of soul and passion to it, but it was totally them rebelling against themselves. So I can see why after that they kinda realized that they should have hung it up after TBP.

I can deny that easily. That's what was missing from DD.

Strongly disagree then, I feel that the album is seeping with passion.

I agree with that. To take it further, I actually think it's their best album.

Gerard said on Twitter that he doesn't regret making DD. And I personally think it's an amazing album, it's full of passion and hope, very inspiring. I don't have favorite MyChem album, I've been through a lot with each of their records. But if I had, DD could be it. I even have a quote from The Kids From Yesterday tattooed on my arm. This album means a lot to me.
