Continuation of the discussion from here:
http://www.greendayc...ootball-soccer/

As the previous thread was server-crushingly huge.

Also, find a less girly sport. I mean, seriously, running around and kicking a ball while not being allowed to go for the knees? Pansy football imo.

Best OP ever.

Why? Just...why? :(
That thread was perfectly fine huge and slow but still had a better name. :P (It's called FOOTBALL and most of the teams have Football Club or Club de Futbol in their name)
It won't be the same without Jay, that's for sure, kinda miss his Man Utd antics...
Well anyways, I'm off to Valencia, time to support from Mestalla! :D
So here is to break the ice;
Predictions for the next season?
EPL? La Liga? Bundesliga?

Amunt!

Soccer? It was bad enough that you called the greatest club in the world 'Man U' in the closing post of the old thread. Anyway as much as the transfer muppet in me loves the summer I can't wait for next season to start, the sooner last season is forgotten the better. Also this thread might feel weird for some time I imagine.

Rosenborg is going to play against Ordabasy tomorrow. In the second qualification round to The European League. We've had a bad season so far, so we need this. *Fingers crossed*

I miss having games to watch :(

I can't wait for the new seasons to start! Real Madrid is doing so much better recntly. Kaka is finally leaving, I don't know how I feel about it.

Also, Honduras' National team is playing today against Marruecos (is it Morroco in english?) Hopefully they'll do more than embarrass us.

Same :( I cant wait until season starts again
And I don't know how to feel about kaka leaving real either. He warmed the bench most of the time, but he was pretty good when he did play

My team, River Plate, just played the 2nd division here in Argentina and I have to say it was the most nerve-racking season ever.
We're back in 1st division now, and even though our squad is not as good as it should be, my hopes are high!

i think that's great...
Kaka is great, but the starting eleven of real is better,
so he can't be best eleven...
i hope kaka will great again if he go to milan...

 Rosenborg is ready for the 3rd qualification round to the European League. :D
Ordabasy-Rosenborg 1-2
'32 Mansour (Ordabasy)
'67 F. Holm (Rosenborg)
'94 Dockal (Rosenborg)

Also two off our players got the red card and Ordabasy missed at their penalty shot. The match was way too exciting!

From Marca:

"AC Milan's chief executive, Adriano Galliani has stated that the return of Real Madrid's Brazilian midfielder to his club "will be difficult"but that they'll "keep on trying".
"These are difficult negotiations, but we'll keep on trying. There are many more issues that make a deal less likely than likely, but as in any love affair, anything could happen. We’ll just have to wait and see", he added.
Despite confirming everything that is being done to bring Kaká back to Milan - where he played from 2003 to 2009 - he's advised supporters "not to get their hopes up".
Nobody has worn Kaká's number 22 shirt since he left in 2009and, according to the Italian press, it has been put away in a wardrobe again this season, awaiting the Brazilian's return.
An agreement could be reached on 8th August when Galliani meets Florentino Pérez in New York where Real Madrid and AC Milan are playing a pre-season friendly."

To be honest and even I am a madridista and I've always loved Kaka, I want him back to Milan, he belongs there.

At least Kaka will get back where he belongs.
I'm sad though, cause the vice president of Olympiakos has become the president of Superleague(the Greek football league) and, knowing that the system has been in favour of Olympiakos the last 16 years, just imagine what will happen now.
Greek football is like greek politics, everything's behind the scenes.

That's weird, as we (Panathinaikos) are usually more known than Olympiakos in Europe, mainly 'cause we have gone 2 times in the semifinals of CL and have won every single ''big'' team of Europe.
And let's not forget that 6/11 of the team that won Euro 2004 were playing or sometime in their career played for Panathinaikos.
