They throw you in jail?

No, typically they turn their noses up at me and drivel on about how they don't have time to stoop to my level to argue with the likes of a dumb American.

Hah. Such a cop-out argument. There's so many stupid British people out there too, just as anywhere else in the world.

But we're getting kinda off topic, so back to organs and such! Here, have a pancreas.

In my experience, every fight I've ever gotten into with someone from the UK has always ended in them being a total douche and me yelling at the wall. I wish you, the Australians, better luck.

I'm from England. :P

They throw you in jail?

This made me laugh so much. Picture of an old-school English bobby.

Ew.

So what do people thinking about kidney donation/partial liver donation when you're still alive??? Or bone marrow donation? Who'd be down for that?

The only thing I've heard about donating bone marrow is that it's intensely painful. I'm all down for helping people with blood and such, but the pain of sucking juice out of my bones seems unwelcome as hell.

Yeah it supposedly is and yet it's crucial for some people. We supported the Antony Nolan trust at school a couple of years back which deals with this sort of thing..

I'd do it for someone really close to me (I'd like to think I would, anyway). The people who do it anonymously are very brave or possibly nuts.

We're talking about bone marrow donations, Dyl-bert. Which are generally most effective if done while the donor is alive :P

Ah, I see. Didn't quite see when the conversation switched. That would hurt quite a bit if not sedated.
