we all watched the shows like Rocko's Modern Life, Animaniacs, and all that other stuff that threw in many adult jokes.

What are some that you've picked up on (as a child or now) that you find absolutely shocking, funny, or under the category of "how did I not notice them before"?

One of my favorites has got to be the "Chokey Chicken" restaurant in Rocko's  "This chokey chicken was first erected in September of 82"

I remember watching iCarly (yeah, I used to watch it) and chatting with my friend (who was watchingit too) over Facebook. My parents were in the room too. It was an episode where they were camping and there were two groundhogs that were doing something that was "not wrestling". I felt really awkward after that, especially because my parents were in the room.

I feel really awkward when I'm watching any show and there's and there's an "adult joke" in it and my parents are in the room. We watch M*A*S*H (even though it's not like, a kids' show or anything, it still goes with what I'm saying) and I always pick up on some "adult jokes". But when I'm by myself, I laugh.

Listen to any Spice Girls song now. Particularly 2 Become 1. They're all basically like 'let's fuck'

Children's animation does it all the time: Kung Fu Panda, The Incredibles and quite a few Disney movies.... it makes it fun for adults to watch as well!

duh lol. It's the best when they do it now because they go by so smoothly that you don't notice half the time :P
Most just do it a little more than others  Rocko is absolutely horrible about doing these jokes xD For example, the episode I'm watching right now (I love netflix hehe) is called "Clean Loving" and every 3 minutes its shown a shut door with squeaking noises coming from it .____.

Team Rocket have a few lines in Pokemon that I guess could count as "adult" humor.

"Sceptile's shooting blanks."
"So size does matter."
"I love a good rod and a hard tackle."
"I haven't seen this many strange letters since I took out a personal ad."
"To protect us from all that chafing and itching." "It might finally stop all of Jessie's... complaining."

I think the Pokemon TV Tropes page for Getting Crap Past the Radar has quite a lot.

I love adult humour in disney films, I find it hilarious!

But I just love the muppets and Kermit and Miss Piggy were on the Jonathan Ross show... It was funny but it was a bit weird since I loved these guys since I was a kid...

I was going to say Ren & Stimpy but those arguably were never made for kids. I loved them as a kid, but I'm not sure if I'd like my kids watch it.

Any Pixar movie has a bunch of awesome stuff in it for adults. "Laser envy" from Toy Story comes to mind.

Haha I noticed that about the Pokemon games. It's probably just me having a dirty mind but you can't help thinking "what??" when someone on Pokemon says "you wanna go with me again?" or "I'm rock hard!"

I was thinking the other day how sad it is that when you get older, the first thing you notice about that old Sonic Heroes theme you used to love is that the first line is "what goes up must come down"

That's one reason I had to put quotes around kids haha. They can be argued to not be really kids shows, which causes me to wonder how they made it to Nick, Disney, PBS, etc... O.o

Also, does anyone find the jokes a bit too inappropriate for "children's" shows? I just found a thread on another site and someone was ranting about how horrible the jokes are. I doubt any of the kids pick up on them and if they do, it's the parent's fault in my opinion. Adults have to have some cleaner fun too!

Hahaha a classic scene!

Oh my god

The two guys in that show are also a comedy duo who do stand up comedy for adults. I'm certain they knew what they were doing when they did that scene

Phineas and Ferb has had a number of drug jokes. One episode had Candace get stoned out of her fucking mind, they've shown Doof with a hangover, had a deliberately awkward moment about psychedelic music, etc. Regular Show also has a ton of edgy jokes, but then again, it is rated TV-PG (same for Dan Vs.). On a less humorous note, Transformers Prime and G.I. Joe Renegades are surprisingly violent and disturbing (both shows killed at least one character in their premiere episodes). Back to the humor, pretty much everything on Nick, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel is full of adult humor. I think the censors just don't care.
