Whenever Green Day does an interview Billie always says "Y'know". Its sorta a running joke between most Green Day fans

And then some of the fans get into the y'know habit too

Fucking awesome! :)

But I think the title shouldn't be about what someone said in an intro thread who never posts.

What sort of things will you be including - just news? Or editorials and stuff too?

How often will it be coming out?

Well, I'm glad you went with the two titles I thought were the worst options...

That's not decided, i'm working on making amendments in this last few hours before we go to print.

This sounds awesome!! Though I agree that I like just "Y'know?" better  It represents the band and us at the same time...and it sort of implies that information lies within.

The zine will be available for sale from GDA soon, and Tony plans on possibly giving some away to the folks going to the festival next weekend.

We really do want feedback on the title. We haven't been able to come to a consensus on what to call it. I liked "Letterbomb" but it seemed a bit too obvious, so I was leaning toward "The Green Day Authority Zine" for the first issue, then having people suggest a new title for any future issues. So give us your ideas.

i think the artwork is amazing (thanks to Luke Price for doing it), but I just realized that I'm not sure we'll be able to sell this using an image of the guys (even if animated). Not sure on the legality of it. If anyone here knows, please fill us in.

Also, Tony can you explain the "In association with Big Cheese", are they still planning on helping us out with it or what's the deal there?

Aww..Andres, you mean you can't use your friendly influence to get the guys to give you a break? :rose:

They will be advertising the zine in their magazine for us, and also submitting a piece for it.

That's great! :woot: It never ceases to amaze me how far this little place has come :D

Great idea!

But I don't really like the Carpet Diet thing... it was a nice inside joke, but it doesn't make a good title for a magazine. =/

I like Letterbomb for a title a lot!

I think you'll just have to make it very clear that it's an unofficial Green Day fan magazine though, we don't want this site to get in trouble because of this.

I like Letterbomb too...

Surely there must be more letter/book references in Green Day lyrics? But "At The Library" doesn't really fit.... unless you're doing sections about old songs etc where that could be something... I don't know.

I'm pleased Carpet Diet has been dropped. I really like the idea but not that title! It just doesn't seem right.

I was gonna say I didn't like the title (especially the carpet diet thing, which I never found that funny to begin with, but the "y'know" part not so much either for a magazine title. If anything I think "you know", or else "ya know", looks much better. Just my opinion though :)) but I see it has already been dropped :) I like Letterbomb, it's not an amazing title though. We as Green Day fans should be able to come up with an awesome title :D *starts thinking*

I really like this idea of a magazine

Oh lord, that's awesome! :woot: I'm really looking forward to hearing more about it and seeing this develop. It seems like such a good idea to me. I can't wait to hold one of these in my hands!

And about the cover artwork.. I think it looks pretty amazing! Only thing that I don't really like is Carpet Diet as a title. It's a great joke but I can't see it on this. Well and since this has already been said before, .. ;) In my opinion Letterbomb would be a cool title, I totally agree with some guys here!

Wow Tony I hope you're getting paid overtime for all of this stuff

Well, if you can't use Green Day on the cover, I for one would be satisfied with a nice image of Andres on horse...you know, like conquistador style.

Ooooh now I understand when you guys were talking about new big staff from GDA this year!! :woot:

80 pages full of GD/GDAwesomeness, sounds so great! (80 pages...ah, that's a reference! :P )

I can't help with another title idea, but I'll think

Great idea guys :woot: Glad that title was dropped. Hmm, maybe ye could hold a competition each month for us GDCers to come up with a title for the next issue?? I do quite like Y'know actually. As for this one, how about about something like "Welcome to a new kind of 'zine" or some other play on GD lyrics?
