I was looking through magazines at the store (same way I stumbled upon their small RS feature) and saw Revolver's 100th magazine. I looked for Billie, Mike, and Tre. Found Billie obviously haha. I haven't got the scan up yet, but if anyone happens to have the issue and wants to upload it here before I get the chance to, feel free to do so :)

I'll try to get the scan up in the next hour or so!

Moved to GD Chat. Pretty cool stuff! I agree whole-heartedly!

I was going to put in in there but I didn't know if it was going to get moved from here or not lol

------------------

idk if it was actual ranking or just listed. I'll made a list of everyone who was in the listing though :)

I found this writeup and it lists all of the artists.

"The main feature of this particular issue is their picks for the “100 Greatest Living Rock Stars” and the segment runs for twenty nine pages and gives the reader a photo and some quick background on the artist. Some of them get a little more page space than others which I didn’t understand how one ranked against another and there was no numeric order to the listing to speak of. Despite this it was interesting to read."

*facepalm* they fricken spelled Billie wrong >.< thanks! I've got the scan now too for anyone who wants to see the actual picture

in case you can't read it, this is what it says:

Remember that snarly little punk whining about how "masturbation's lost its fun"? Well, that dude writes and stars in Broadway musicals now. Frontman and main songwriter for Green Day, Armstrong couldn't have come further in the 17 year since "Longview"; his trophy cabinet now contains pretty much every musical award ever, and he's about as famous as Bono. Even so, he's still punk enough to get thrown off a plan for excessively baggy pants.

Everyone just HAS to mention the saggy pants.

M. Shadows and Billie Joe were both included. :runaround: Hell to the yes.

(although Billie Joe could have been placed a little higher than #59)

Johnny Rotten was the singer of the Sex Pistols, Tom Morello is the guitarist of Rage Against The Machine and James Hetfield is the singer/guitarist of Metallica ;) ...so you can add that to the list ;)

Thanks for this! :D (gonna need to track down this magazine now  )

Also, yay! Gerard Way is on the list too. My two favourite boys!

Joan Jett, Gerard Way and Marilyn Manson also made the list ?! :woot: awesome!

the only one I'm really surprised about is Gerard, but happily surprised :lol: I love MCR to death, but I was still kinda shocked to see him on the list, but only cause they still haven't really fully made their mark in the music industry to me. Not many people in the world would be able to say "omg YES! I LOVE MCR! i've seen them in concert 3 times now and own their full discography!" (heck, most would probably never be able to say they know anything outside of BP), unlike most people who are into Green Day. Most people who know Green Day generally don't just "hit it and quit it" haha.

I know what you mean. I was like :woot: when I saw that. I mean, more than used to seeing MCR/Gerard in any and all Kerrang countdowns, but wasn't sure if I'd see him in this one.

So happy.
