Cranberries. Pecan pie. (The rest of our menu isn't traditional so that's all I have to suggest. )

Somehow "cranberries" led to "Ikea meatballs" and now I want Ikea meatballs with that wonderful weird berry jam :(

I had Ikea meatballs and chips, and it had gravy on. That was my first experience with chips and gravy, and I never looked back. My parents said it was too northern, but I didn't care. Ikea does brilliant food - it's almost worth the pain of being in Ikea.

so as of tomorrow, I'm away for 5 days for work. the hotel & fuel is paid for, but no food. ofc the hotel won't have cooking facilities or an in-room fridge, so I can only take cupboard food or stuff that can be cooked with boiling water. basically, I'll be living off pot noodles, crisps, biscuits & cakes for 5 days  I can't afford to eat out more than maybe 2 or 3 times (and even then it'll have to be cheap shit like the chippy) so yeah, this'll be great fun!

No, it's even better! You get good Ikea food for cheap and you can be in the Ikea as well! I like Ikea, it's oddly calming.

I bloody hate Ikea, it's a sterile labyrinth of furniture. The food's the only bearable thing about it.

Sterile? There's a lot you can say about Ikea, but I've never found it sterile! In my experience they try really hard to make it look home-y and comfy, and I think they're doing a pretty good job of it for a furniture store.

Though I don't know if there's any difference between Ikeas in different countries...

Well, the one near me is big, cold and generally horrible. There are bits of furniture strewn about the desolate expanse, occasionally you'll spot a fully set-up room, a collection of vaguely related things, a collection of completely unrelated things that are for some reason put in the same place. And it seems to go on forever - you can just keep walking through and never actually reach the other side of the building. You might find some lost survivors living in one of the room areas, people who got lost many years ago and still haven't found the exit. It's a place where a single trip to buy a cupboard can last hours, not because you can't find the cupboard but because you don't know where to go once you have.

£2.50 on a sandwich, or similar, twice a day for five days will work out very expensive  thankfully I LOVE pot noodles, just kind of irritating is all :)

I am dying for this kind of food, it's got a tough crunchy outside and a breading kind of inside, I think it's some sort of seafood ball? I can't remember the name but I need one right away.

You'd get along really well with my sister-in-law. I think those are the only things in her freezer.
