But only because he has better things to do! Don't let him not make you feel important!

Never heard of brown peppers either. Will definitely look for them but I kinda of doubt my small market will have them. But you never know. Maybe the farm that that the spaghetti squash - they seemed to have some other unusual veggies.

Let me know how the purple ones taste. I'm so curious. :)

SO! Purple peppers are purple on the outside and green on the inside. We made stuffed peppers with them and after they cooked they were green outside too.

Taste more like green peppers. Werent as sweet as I expected.

So a bit disappointing. That's a shame. Unusual purple food should be more interesting. :)

Yeah I kind of hoped there would be something different about them but they still tasted good :)

There are few things in the world I like more than onion bhajjis. They are truly an example of mankind's genius.

I'm still getting through the leftover food from a party I had last week. I don't even like coleslaw but there's half a bowl there I gotta finish. Apparently no one at the party liked it either

Question for all you foodies: I'm supposed to start eating a high protein/high complex carbohydrate diet, and while I get what kind of food I'm supposed to be eating (eggs, yogurt, peanut butter, potatoes, whole grains, etc.) I've never tried to fashion any sort of menu around those kinds of foods. My food plan is usually to just toss together whatever I can from what's around the house or to go out and buy whatever I'm craving. Any ideas or recipes that would be interesting to eat and not make me want to shoot myself in the face from boredom?

Protein and carbs, you say? Full English Breakfast. Sausage, bacon, egg, chips, beans, fried bread, mushrooms, hash browns. You could also do it Tom's way and stick it all in a Yorkshire Pudding, which I have yet to try but it looks and sounds excellent.

Burritos with whole wheat wraps and a high protein filling (meat, chickpeas, cheese, whatever you like). I hear some people also put rice in their burritos so you could use (brown) rice for that too. Omelettes with high fiber vegetables. Or make a tortilla (like, the omelette with potato) for dinner. You can make a ton of salads with chickpeas and (whole wheat) pasta, using either or both of those ingredients, like combined with cheese (feta/mozzarella/goat's cheese/whatever you like) or tuna and whatever else makes it taste well to you.

One salad I really like that you can make with pasta or potatoes depending on what you like is with tuna, chopped boiled eggs, capers, corn, (cherry) tomatoes and other vegetables of choice (high protein vegetables that work well with this spinach, beans and peas, and I think broccoli would be good too though I've never tried that), and something like a pesto-mayo to make it not so dry if you don't mind the fat. Mainly complex carbs and most of the veggies are rich in protein (for vegetables).
