Holy fuck, "Zugangserschwerungsgesetz" ??
I'm not usually a pirate supporter, but shit like that could persuade me to buy a parrot and an eye patch.

Don't get excited, Anna, I'm still more likely to join the Apfelfront.

What, where did you find that?

It was a law for the purpose of preventing access to websites with child-pornographic content. It doesn't exist anymore, though. It was heavily opposed by anti-censorship initiatives and related groups like the Chaos Computer Club. It also got opposition from our liberal party and the leftist/left-leaning ones.

It was on the German Aye Aye Jim Lad Party Wiki page.
I think I'll stick to my good old Front Deutscher Äpfel, I know where I am with them.

Alright guys, I don't like the sound of it anymore than you do, but let's be reasonable. Even if Congress would pass this (extremely unlikely), don't you realize the Supreme Court would challenge it and disprove it? This is why we have a Supreme Court.

The supreme court doesn't challenge anything. It would be up to citizens to file a lawsuit against it, then work it's way through the court system up to the Supreme Court. So instead, everyone is encouraged to get in touch with their Congressman/women now and just help stop it from the start.

Have you heard of this case called "Citizens United" that the Supreme Court ruled somewhat recently? Currently 5 (a majority) of Supreme Court justices are corporate shills, they are as bought and sold as Congress is these days.

I have no idea why Americans take for granted that the Supreme Court somehow destroys liberty less than the other two branches of government.

To be perfectly honest though, I believe this law doesn't stand a chance of being passed regardless if we write or not.

Alright, our government isn't "destroying liberty". True I disagree with most of the current government's views, but I believe they aren't purposely destroying us. They just have differemt beliefs.

Since this day has come and gone, here's a thread just for discussion about these bills.
