It's basically a place to hold your sacred items and tools. You also pray there and perform rituals there.

Who do you pray to? Is there one central god that Wiccans believe in?

There are multiple gods and goddesses and who your gods/goddesses are depends on your tradition. Most traditions you have to be initiated into, so since I self-dedicated, I'm an eclectic wiccan, so basically I take bits and pieces from other traditions and make my own. Which is nice, because there's no one set thing to follow. Since I'm new to it I just pray to the great god and goddess but I'm sure as I go along I'll add others to the list.

Can you tell me a few of the main Wiccan beliefs?

Basically that we're of nature and we're to respect the earth, help better the earth, wiccans are not to cause harm to other people, especially with magick, etc. It's a very nature-based religion.

Here's a link that explains the 13 basic principles in a little more depth: http://pagan-pages.o...-wiccan-belief/

Yeah, obviously every good thing that happens is a gift from God and every bad thing like the whole bloody epidemic is a punishment from him.
And no matter how we act bad things happen because of the Fall. Lovely logical :)

Of course man is incapable of doing anything good without aid from the Lord Almighty

I get that if someone believes in a god they might feel it had a hand in things, but really it wouldn't have hurt to give some credit and thanks to the doctors and scientists responsible for his recovery whatever he believes. And I see there's no blame given to god for creating ebola and giving it to him in the first place, naturally.

That's funny, I'll be too old for Scouts for most of 2016.

This is going so wonderfully. I'm finding the supplies I need relatively easily (it's often said that supplies will come to you rather than you looking for them) and wow this just feels wonderful and perfect. First time I've felt comfortable and happy with my religion.

My little brother is going to be baptized. Now I'm waiting for my mom to ask if I want to be baptized with him.

I was baptized. Terrifying experience. I'm deathly afraid of going underwater because of my ears and fear of water. I was told "God would make me comfortable and make it okay" and it was horrifying anyway.

The church I attend typically does their baptisms in a lake at a local church camp. (They have an annual event called Preach at the Beach.) Would you hate that even more or the same?

Fun fact: One time at church camp, another kid asked if I was baptized. When I told him I wasn't he said "you better hurry up, dude."

I would hate that too. I just can't be underwater. I'm horrified of it.
