so dory kept trying for a cuddle but she couldn't work out why the chair was also a prison. this went on for a good five minutes.

Spoiler

on a slightly sadder (and more ridiculous) note, i think my cat has forsaken us in favour of our next door neighbours. i was sitting on the doorstep last night waiting for a lift and he showed up, started meowing, but he wouldn't come near me and kept staring imploringly at my neighbour through their window. :( they didn't let him in but i haven't seen him today so they probably waited until i left. it's annoying me tbh like, he's my cat. theirs died a while ago and they looked after lep when we were on holiday but ffs he's our cat. they've stolen him. if their cat showed up at my door begging for food i'd give him a treat but not let him in. ugh it's really upsetting me i'm so pathetic.
and also the guinea pig count is now at 14 for anyone keeping track.

Yeah, that is a little weird; if they want to see him they could wait until he's outside or come to your house.

I got to meet Munchkin (Alissa's cat) today! He is very qt and silly.

He says he misses you! (As he lays on the linoleum floor protecting the front door from intruders, of course!)

Worst thing about being away is having no animals around, miss my doggies :(
There's been at least 4 or 5 different cats appearing here over the past few days, no idea if they're strays or just greedy
There was a gorgeous Siamese cross, it has the brown ears and cream coat but has white paws, brown splodges and lovely blue eyes.
The home my great grampa is in have just got a new kitten after the last cat died. He's named Hamish, he's a lil qt  going to see if I can get a photo of him today. I think he's part Manx, he doesn't have a tail.

It sounds like an allergy reaction.

My dog had something similar happen to him a week or so ago, but it was a bit different since he wasn't sneezing, but rather had something going on in his ears - he kept shaking it and all that and had watery eyes, his ears turned a bit poofy after awhile though. After awhile, he kept panting heavier, so we called the vet and sent him in at 10.30 PM. Had two allergy shots and a few hours later he was fine.

A (most likely illegal) pit bull who had obviously recently had puppies was left on our doorstep this morning. Raises so many questions. The people who dropped her off must have cared about her enough not to send her to the SPCA where she would be put down... but it's a bad situation because we can't do much either.

She's such a sweet dog, but there seems like no other option than to put her down because we can't keep her, and if we tell any dog warden/SPCA people, she'll have to be euthanized. It's so sad, and also even worse because the puppies are most likely being trained for fighting...

So good that Brandon drove across town to buy me a beefy five-layer burrito at 2 a.m. (Good thing I have a school board meeting in 6 hours...)

Munchkin licked the wrapper clean. Oops.

Munchkin is so lucky. I've only ever had it once because there are only two branches of it in Britain and omfharpsichord.

Nope, it's horrifying. Sarah had it while in Florida in 2004 and still never shuts up about it. Since I had it back in April it's all I can think about.

There's a Taco Bell about 45 minutes away from the O2 Arena by train, it's just that we live at the opposite end of London so it's more like two hours! The other one is in the north, about half an hour from "home."

Kebabs mainly. And McDonalds. Personally I pig out on biscuits though, usually.

See, we're not sure. Her sister Gacy was born with herpes in her eye and she's had it all her life so she always sneezes and has watery eyes, and occasionally it runs through our house, particularly with Teddy frequently getting red eyes (hell, sometimes my mom gets it from treating them and frankly I'm wondering if I have it rn because my eye is so dry and itchy). So, it's something that's normal to us. But Rosie NEVER gets it, and hers has lasted quite a long time and she's had a lot of sneezing with it (while Gacy always sneezes, when Teddy gets it he doesn't really sneeze). She also seems a little slower than usual. She has dry FIV and is our oldest (10), so she's a little compromised (oh, and let's not forget that she's blind). My mom finally said today that she's thinking about taking her to the vet and I think that's good. Rose hasn't been to a vet in about five years, since she seemed to be at death's door until my parents took her to a PetSmart emergency vet who gave her some steroids and she was like new.

So, it may just be something that steroids/allergy treatment could cure, but the cold symptoms weren't there during that scare, so this is a little different. She's not as lethargic as she was during that episode, either (she still gets out of her chair and rolls for us when we come home or I wake up and she still aggressively yells at us for us to put her on the bathroom sink for water ), but it's still worrying me.

Well, Munchkin likes Taco Bell now.

Hmm, that's a different one! Most of ours like burgers to an extent (and roast beef, and Teddy likes chicken ... I feel like Patrick rn. SOME ROAST BEEF SOME CHICKEN A PIZZA), but that's insane. Kenny really hates barbecue sauce, too.

And oblig "Del Taco > Taco Bell" comment :)

I live within a five-mile radius of two Taco Bells, Burger Kings, McDonalds, Wendys... and pretty much all fast food. You can't have just one!  #american

He mostly just licked the sour cream and cheese off the wrapper. He loves dairy products (even though I'm pretty sure cats are lactose intolerant! :o).

where are good places to look for dogs? I've tried the more well known shelters (at least ones that have websites) and the trading post. Problem is I'm looking for a smaller dog but 99% of the dogs in shelters and on the trading post are staffies or rottweilers or bull arabs. Which is just not what I want. Back a few months ago I thought that's what I wanted but I realised a small dog is probably a more realistic option for me. I've been searching for months and I've probably seen only 2 or 3 smaller dogs though.

I did find one adorable dog, a pomeranian cross maltese. But I'm sure they'll be gone within a few days and it's gonna take a while to convince dad.

Yeah, we don't let ours have too much dairy. Gacy occasionally likes the milk from cereal, Rose sometimes like to lick yogurt lids and all of them demand whipped cream whenever we use it

I don't think so, no. The puke that happens in our house is usually Teddy's hairballs and Rosie's "I eat too fast and I don't even digest my food so I puke it right back up into the food bowl" offerings

Rose has gotten over her pink eye/sneezing, but now Teddy has it bad. I mean, he's one of those cats who has to be super dramatic about being sick so he may be playing it up, but he is definitely a mess. Plus, he feels a little warm, so if he's not better tomorrow we'll take him Wednesday, which he'll be so thrilled about

I found it on somebody's pinterest last night so I don't know if there's a link anywhere.

If you can't find those leashes, you can tie a yellow ribbon around your dog's leash as a warning sign to other people that your dog may not be friendly.
