I searched and didn't find a thread... Seriously, NO THREAD WAS MADE FOR THE MENZINGERS PRIOR TO THIS?

So, anybody like them?

I've been bingeing on Chamberlain Waits lately, yet it's so brilliant that I can't bring myself to feel guilty. I finally ordered the new album from Amazon; I meant to get it when it came out, but life distracted me.

Is anyone catching the Menzingers on the Bouncing Souls tour? I'm really looking forward to it, especially since I've been a Broadway Calls fan for years.

You guys, On the Possible Past, the album of acoustic demos, is now available. Everything is so amazing, especially Sun Hotel and that raw take of Good Things.

It'll be a while before this one comes off repeat.

OTIP is one of my favorites this year, and by far my favorite 'zingers album. The acoustic demos are pretty cool, too.

I feel the same way about OTIP. I was prepared to be disappointed after Chamberlain, but these guys delivered.

I've had a couple of people recommend them to me. What should I listen to first?

Their new album On the Impossible Past is probably my favorite record of 2012. Here are a couple goodies from that one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntY0Qf1j3FY

And this one is the opening track on their previous album, Chamberlain Waits.

I realized I've kind of hijacked this thread, but I have no remorse. The Menzingers are quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite bands.

The Menzingers "Chamberlain Waits" was my #1 played album when I moved/drove to LA from NY.

Yes! I'm a huge fan of stripped down, acoustic Greg. And I love the fact that they've been opening with Good Things at gigs. Way to start a fucking show.

I just got a ticket for the Menzingers with La Dispute next month! :woot: I'm stoked to see these guys again, especially in a tiny club environment.

Just listened to OTIP for the first time in a short while. I honestly don't listen to it near as much as a should! It's such a good album. These dudes deserve every bit of success that comes their way, and then some.

It brought a tear to my eye to see OTIP ranked near the top of so many Best of 2012 lists. How refreshing for a band that works hard, tours endlessly, and writes amazing music to actually get some recognition.  I've been counting down the days until I get to see the Menzingers again, and the remaining two weeks can't pass quick enough.

Did anyone see Tom's Ask Me Anything on Reddit? He went into detail about the meaning behind certain songs and characters. Definitely worth browsing for fans.

After hearing a lot about this band I finally checked them out earlier this year. I started with On The Impossible Past, and I must say these guys really sold me on their sound. I'm not the biggest fan of the vocals on Chamberlain Waits, but I'm freaking loving OTIP. Does anyone have any interesting facts on this band, its really hard to find stuff online about them, stories and such, outside of 2012 praise for OTIP

I found out about The Menzingers in the middle of last year and just absolutely loved everything I heard. They played a show close to me but I wasn't able to go.

Here's a fun little fact for you: Greg is a handsome sonuvabitch, therefore he couldn't possibly have written any of his own lyrics.

Thank you so much for joining us here on your favorite little segment, True Menzingers Facts. Tune in next time, with your host, Pop Punk Pinkie Pie! We've got loads of interesting facts for you in the coming weeks!

I wouldn't, seeing as I'm a straight dude, but I would rip off all of his songs if I had the chance.

Up until I heard X-Kid, Gates was the best song I'd heard a punk band put out last year. Honestly, this song is incredible.

Wow, so somehow I didn't know that they did a cover of Straight to Hell?! I was listening to A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology for the first time and I was like, "these lyrics sound really familiar" and then I realized what it was  As if I needed more reasons to love this band.
