not like you are ever gonna get a ticket But yeah i heard the same. Actually the same happened to me when I wasn't even there live to see it. Just watching it on my computer made me see so many new meanings and things i had never seen in it before!
I've heard so many people say that about the musical, that it changed their perspective and they found so much new meaning behind the songs. Thats one of the main reasons I want to see it

United States of Rage and Love: Green Day's 'American Idiot' - Introduction and "American Idiot"
A decade later, Green Day's politically charged concept album remains one of the best, most important records of its era. The newest Between the Grooves series examines it in detail, starting with its mission statement title track.

United States of Rage and Love: Green Day - "Jesus of Suburbia"
An exceptionally intricate, intelligent, gripping, and ambitious track, "Jesus of Suburbia" also did a fantastic job of setting up the story, characters, and social commentary that makes this LP so great.

American Idiot is my favourite album of all time. So, we ARE allowed to make threads for individual albums. Oh, I wasn't sure about that. Okay, so... I started liking Green Day around the American Idiot era, American Idiot is my favourite album, and yeah, it's simply amazing!!!
We used to have a subforum to discuss literally every single GD song but it looks like they did away with that.

I wasted a gallon or so of gas today because I put American Idiot on in my car, cranked it up, and just drove around listening to it straight through and crying. Every single song brings back so many memories and emotions. This album has really been the soundtrack of the past 10 years of my life, it really is hard to believe it's been that long. It still gets me just as hyped up as it did the first day I put it into my CD player. It's been 10 years, and it still hits me as hard as if it came out yesterday.
