Use this thread to talk about and plan for Green Day's show on July 13th, 2009 in Chicago, IL.
General questions about the tour should be posted in the pinned thread.

I will (hopefully) be at this show, preferably with a large sign advertising who I am, so we can all congregate and converse

I'm planning on going but my parents are making me come along with a friend, so that will slow me up on if I can go or not. Hopefully I'll find someone so I can go. It'll be my first concert!!!!! yay!!

Hahah. In fact, the other day I was getting ready to buy tickets to the All Star game Home Run Derby and some voice in my head said hmmm check the gd concert tour and make sure there isnt somewhere else you are gonna be that day. Sure enough..... same day as the Green Day show in CHI town.

It'll probably be at some big ass venue like when they came back in Aug of '05.
But I'm hoping it'll be at HOB or some very small place.

If green day played at the House of Blues I dont know what i would do with myself.

But i'll be there no matter where it is. im hoping for a moderately sized place at largest.

I really really hope its not there.
The pit is so freaking tiny it will be impossible to get GA tickets without going bankrupt.
I hope its at Allstate again.
I don't see why people are like "I hope its at a small place".... you do realize that will mean it will be incredibly hard to get tickets for? I would be so pissed off if they played at some small place and I ended up not being able to go/paying $200 for a ticket on ebay.

Obviously, it would be amazing it they played at a small venue and we all got tickets, but we all know that would not be the case. So they'll definetly play somewhere big. Allstate, maybe united center?, and maybe the first midwest bank ampitheatre because it's summer. I really hope it's not there though, that place kinda sucks.

I'm planning on Chicago being concert number 3, 3 show in 3 days , just after the Mpls and Fargo shows. I'm going to be racking up the miles let me tell ya, but soooo worth it!

I am still debating whether i should wait or not for GD to come to Ohio...I really want to see them asap, but not only is it a 5 hour drive to chicago but i also want to go to other concerts this summer (so ill be broke if i go to the other shows )

United Center...only been there because of the Hawks. Hope when I buy tickets I don't get a seat in the higher seats (scared of heights). Floor will be nice.
