A few small Green Day references in new Rolling Stone

Okay, I just thought I'd tell people about the couple Green Day mentions in the new Rolling Stone (the one with Fall Out Boy on the cover).

On page 31, there's a bunch of Rolling Stone covers, and a Green Day one is there.

On page 34, I don't know if this is nessecarily about Green Day, but it says American Idiots for a small Simpsons artictle.

Finally, on page 56, there's a web entitled "How Fall Out Boy got High" and it has on one of the stems on the web an older picture of Billie Joe, then it says next to it: Wentz says he learned a big lesson from Green Day: "It's all right to be a rock star - as long as you use it for the right reasons."

Just a few small things.

I never thought Fall Out Boy could connect to Green Day..

Green Day have influenced most modern rock/punk-ish bands.

Not really a big surprise...

I want to see 50 Cent say Green Day inspired him. Now that would be news!

i bought that magazine today. I saw the advertisement for the subscription and the green day cover.

Andy, Joe, Patrick and Pete are all influenced by Green Day but they're all influenced by other people too..In on of Pete's journal entries on falloutboyrock.com he said he me Billie, or either it was just Bllie or it was all three of them...

I agree :D !! I figured out that many bands like my chemical romance, good charlotte (even if I don't listen to their music), fall out boy were influenced by green day.

I think on youtube their is an interview of green day about them influencing others bands.

The "It's all right to be a rock star - as long as you use it for the right reasons" - thing. Wasn't that something Billie said to Gerard Way?
