Yes I think Green Day is the biggest band in the world right now... but will they always be? No. They were the biggest thing back in '94, and it took them 10 years to reach that kind of fame again. But since we all know it's not the fame that's important to them, I think it all comes down to the fact that they are great musicians who love what they do. And that's why we love them! I do not think they are "trendy middle aged men trying to like like gothic 17 year olds." Although it seems like a lot of people I come across do. :/ Since when did being in your 30's make you old? And since when did wearing eyeliner make you a goth? I dunno... but that's a different subject anyways. Hey westbound_hill, I was also wondering where the quote in your signiture is from? They are a dedicated band.. they are dedicated to the music they make, they work hard and put on a kick ass show. They are family men. They care about their children and im not sure about mike and tre but I know Billie is crazy about adie. Im pretty sure they are over their pothead stage and I know they have their personal opinions when it comes to politics and the enviroment and such.
