Meant to post this a month ago, but they played Nice Guys Finish Last at one of the Green Bay Packer training camp practices. They made it through the first chorus, and then realized that there were a few swear words in the song. That may be a song they could play at a closed practice, but maybe not the best choice to play at an open practice where tiny children can attend. Not that I care, but I was excited the song. I knew that once they got to the chorus the first time it was going to be awkward.

Once in my middle school weight room, they played "Know Your Enemy" over the speaker. It made me work that much harder! Even though it's not their best song, it's still freakin' Green Day people! Since I had gym class third period, I had a smile on my face the rest of the day cause I couldn't get the song or Billie Joe's fabulous face out of my head.

I heard Scattered on a morning news/talk show where they were showing potato farmers working.

I also heard Coming Clean on this Japanese TV show where these little kids were cleaning their school classrooms.

I'm 100% sure that the people who made the show saw the word 'clean' in the title and used it as background music. Oh, how wrong they were... XD

I remember hearing Kill the DJ in a shop when I was in Italy, I totally freaked out. I actually went to Italy to see Green day, so I also got to hear them while I was shopping there

On Good Morning America they played Basket Case after coming back from a commercial break. Also as I said in another thread, I heard Brain Stew on the radio at a gas station.

I work at a daycare. We're allowed to listen to the radio. Welcome to Paradise starts playing & i'm like WOAH! So I couldn't help but turn it up just a little bit. I made the toddlers start jumping up and down and clapping.

Today I took my kids bowling. They were playing a variety of hit songs, all different genres. Then they played Last of the American Girls. I didn't think it was strange that they played Green Day, but more that song.

Not a weird place, but surprising. Once a year for Xmas I use to play in a theatre along with a group of people. Every year we have some musicians, this year a guy playing guitar and singing. During breaks at rehearsals ever so often he used to play every kind of music backstage, just jamming around, singing with others, improvising with a piano player, and entertaining us (and mostly himself, because he enjoyed himself). One day during a rehearsal break he started to play Good Riddance, singing along with another member of the theatre. It happened that I just was there at the right time and joined in. So I can say this was most likely the first and last opportunity that I sang a GD song on stage. :D

I heard Good Riddance being played at a food booth at the airport in Lima, Peru. WTF? It was cool though.

Back when I watched porn, I saw a video where 21st Century Breakdown was playing in the background.
