(I think that was just around the time Uno was first released.) And I was like 'Green Day!? WTF wut!?' (For people who don't have a clue what Matsuya is, which is probably most people here: arguably one of the cheapest meals you could buy in Japan is the beef bowl or gyudon, which is basically just rice topped with strips of beef. You could buy a bowl of that for around an average of 300 yen - around 3 bucks? - and me being the stereotypical penniless student, almost always eats that for lunch when I have school. Shondells Posted May 1, 2014 Share Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) Not 'weird' I guess but this was pretty cool: Just after the time American Idiot was released, I was making my way to meet a friend in SoHo (the London version) and I decided to pick a pub to wait in. As I got to the bar, the title track came on which I thought was pretty cool. I ordered my drink, took a seat and then JoS sparked into life.... Basically the whole of the album got played! I couldn't believe that "Red Tide" was playing over the loud speakers. XD I freaked out. Pretty sure I was the only one who noticed/was a fan of Green Day or Foxboro Hot Tubs. haha Made my day.
