killy 0 Posted January 14, 2006 (edited) it's wrong - it should be: aber ich glaube, not: aber glaube ich ... i'm not german... but i love german music - rammstein, beatsteaks, madsen ,die toten hosen, .... Edited January 14, 2006 by killy
The_original_mrs_cool 0 Posted January 14, 2006 im afraid your wrong, the placement of a description like 'i beleive' is ich glaube UNLESS you put a continuing word like but, or because before it. that changes the structure of the sentance to be aber glaube ich, instead of aber ich glaube. its a small matter though, confusing english spacing with german. Its probably the most confusing aspect of it. oh, and die toten hosen do rock
killy 0 Posted January 14, 2006 (edited) i think the structure of the sentence after aber is always like after a full stop... nevermind... Edited January 14, 2006 by killy

The_original_mrs_cool 0 Posted January 14, 2006 and that is still correct, to a degree, its just imperfect tense. like, in english music, they follow roots of slang, and improper tense to make it sound a certain way. thats probably the aim she/he was going for. Whereas if you were just talking formally, the aber would change the structure of the sentance. really were both right, ones just a more formal style of german. i was arguing when i was told it was wrong, because its not wrong at all, its more correct in exam style german
