i love the ramones. especially "brain drain". i dont know why, but i really like that album a lot.

and dee dee is the best ramone. he's so fucking underappreciated too. what other ramone do you see leaving the ramones to become a bad rapper? seriously... you can't top that. haha. and that "1! 2! 3! 4!". haha. ahhh... dee dee.

he was actually a lot like sid vicious. he was a bass player, he had an annoying ass slut girlfriend who the entire band hated (connie), he died of a heroin overdose, and he was in one of the most successful punk bands of all time. he was just more talented than sid, musically. haha.

Sure, I love the first album, along with Leave home and Rocket to Russia. Then there's the hits. Just nice songs you can listen to that go by quicky and you forget you've already moved onto the next track  .

I Can't Be is pretty good. I wish I had money to pick up one of their CDs so I could see if I really love them, but I have a feeling I will when I get around to it.

Isn't there something politically motivated about that? Wasn't that one of the songs that Joey opposed Johnny about because of their different political views at the time?

I love them. I remember how I discovered them.. I was like 10 and I was flipping through the channels and saw Rock 'n' Roll High School. I watched it then ran to my dad and said "Dad, is that a real band?!"

Some good, some bloody awful. You can't listen to them for more than half an hour without thinking that it's just one long song being played.

Oh, I can't believe I missed this thread, I love The Ramones. They are definitely one of my favourite bands, even though their songs are really similar, just like Joey said, there's something about them that cheers me up and makes me love them. Someone mentioned "California Sun", I love that song and "I Don't Wanna Grow Up" is awesome too. It was weird, I actually didn't know I knew they existed until I recognised songs like "The KKK Took My Baby Away". Last year a new guy came to our school and it was actually him with his Ramones backpack who made me want to find out a little bit more about this band. I fell in love with them, just like tons of people here who loved them and still do. We've been lucky enough to receive them in several opportunities, even in 1996, on the occasion of one of the last concerts of their career. Too bad I wasn't even into them by then... oh, well, listening to them is already awesome.
