I will take your advice on board and continue to call myself a fan unless I do in fact get killed by Billie.

The question is who really needs help here.

Looking at the forum and seeing the topic was «hot», I thought something new happenned with Billie's Instagram account. But no, all I'm reading here are posts about people having an argument. Wasn't the title of this topic supposed to be «Billie deletes his Instagram»?

Mods, do something about this thread please! Jokes and arguments have been going on for too long here.

Savannah is either an annoying troll or is extremely creepy and overly obsessed. Please just stop already.

Thank you mods /admin for sorting this, I am going to be late for work now as I couldn't not catch up on the drama... But that was after being on insta and getting new billie pics via 80 and greenday accounts (does Billie have access, or is that one management controlled?)

wow what a morning!

Management probably makes most of the promo posts but the band would still have access any time they wanted. It’s their account.

Been a month or so since I posted and I thought I would post this here because as I watched this movie and thought of this thread (which is not off topic, if you know the movie), and I think that anyone that is 12-22, this should be required viewing.  As a father, I can tell you this has given me a very good window into the "anti-social static age" and it IS the modern day coming of age movie of all time.  I really wanted to stay away until I had real news for you guys and at the risk of teasing you because I do have some fucking incredible news that I cannot and will not share, so don't ask but just be prepared for all of you to pee in your pants pretty soon. (soon is relative but some good stuff is coming to a news outlet near you).  Talking globally good.

This is a movie that you guys should watch and again, this is OFF TOPIC but you won't realize why until you watch the movie or if you already have.  If you have, don't ruin it for other people with spoilers. I feel I sort of already have to a minor extent by saying it's premise but it's pretty much the log line of the flick so it's not giving away anything.  It was produced, written and directed by Bo Burnham who is BEYOND fucking talented and has cemented my theory that he is going nowhere.  When I am dead and buried and you current 13 year olds are in your 50s, he will still be around.  He is a legend already.  He is a once and a life time talent.  He is probably the greatest entertainer, thinker, and philosopher of your generation (and I consider that to cover all the various generations).

Keep in mind, the girl in it, Elsie Fisher was has never been in anything and she will probably be nominated for best actress for Golden Globes and Oscars.  I think the people that spend their lives on here and I would imagine Snapchat, Insti, and all the other usual suspects should try and reevaluate their behaviors with other humans through actual social interactions and GET THE FUCK OUT OF YOUR computers and phones and go live because you don't get a retry and life is not life on Instagram or on any other social media which I know it trite and cliche but it's getting to a point where globally this wonderful thing that should bring people together have brought (hidden behind a keyboard), fake people, hate, lack of communication skills, and general lack of understanding of personal relationships.  Like Hermione calling me "fucking creepy" is the first time in my entire life that someone has ever called me creepy.  Any people that have met me here in person would vouch that I am not only not creepy but am a gentleman, chivalrous, protective, and caring of all my friends, girl, boy, tranz, or whatever.

I totally get that this is just fangirl/fanboy shit with the Insti account for Bilie (or Snap) or whatever is off but while humorous, it is truly indicative of a cultural global problem that is having a real world effect on everyone. I can't imagine a world where I grew up with only that and neither can you, if you were born into Snapchat.   To me, it's just a tool.  To you guys, it truly is a life.  A digital alternate life but it's not.   Again, to be clear I am not saying that Billie's account being down (if it still is) is not bothersome to you guys because you are fans (as am I) but if I want to talk to Billie I can call him. I understand you guys can't but it doesn't matter, if you want to call your "friend" who you might not have ever met, or your friend who you are best buds with and you have emotion because you see them on their trip to Costa Rica while your home on your couch, it makes you feel bad.  Food porn, vacation anxiety, it's all a part of it.

I will get off my soap box and just get back to my recommendation.  As a father, it was a great movie to watch as it gives me insight to teach my daughter and protect her from the imminent dangers of social media and the real life implications of saying something to someone who is not what you think they are behind their keyboards. I am not saying I am perfect, far from it but this whole reliance on social media (and granted again, this is not about just the Insty off for Billie, I get the implications and light hearted humor of that but it does lend itself to the real life problem).

Fuck me, I probably lose 3/4 of my audience by typing so much half the time but I type too fast and yap too much but believe it or not, I care about you guys.  You guys are my peeps.  I love you all and I care about you and that is why I am posting this but again, please don't respond with "lighten up dude, we are just having fun". I understand that and so was I but watching that movie, i thought of this thread and you guys and wanted to make sure if you haven't yet that you DO indeed watch it.  It is true to the core.  Especially for the 18 and unders, it teaches a great lesson about life and that is that it is not what you think it is now.  It's not your fault.  It's not forever.  The cool kids, you aren't as cool as you think you are and the kids that think they are "nerds" or waterer the 20-teens are calling those people, you will be the cooler, successful people.  ALMOST without fail, the high school boy who never gets the girl ends up being the pimp when he is older.  Girls that put out to try and fit in, usually regret it.  I am not slut shaming or saying sex is bad, in fact there is nothing much better but it is not a tool, it is an expression of love or it can be just for fun but I don't think it should be for someone under 20 but I'll stop being Dad now and just say that you should all watch this movie unless you are under probably 12 because I think it's rated R but because of sexual innuendo and content.

Interestingly, and in line with the message of the film, this girl, Elsie (the actress) is a real eight grader from a school in Connecticut I believe, and so are all the other actors.   It sort of demystifies the hardness of acting as she kills it as she is pefentl directed by Bo, but BEFORE the independent film was released (and I'm guessing her drama teacher didn't know who Bo was), the film was in post while she went out for the role in her drama class at the school and was not even given a small part.  SHE WAS REJECTED from the school play entirely and then the film was released independently and then went on to win every major film festival, was picked up by a distributor for major release and there is already Oscar talk for her role which she will probably be snubbed because of age but she is amazing in it.

Ok, bye for now.  I want you all to know that I have even fallen victim of it to a different extent.  I am not a hater and I refuse to actually ever truly get angry at anyone that I have never met (and the people I've met on this forum, ironically are ones that don't post much but there are plenty and they will vouch that I go out of my way to get people backstage, or to meet the band, and more) but I do allow myself to love people I have never met because what's the harm in that and I love you all, truly and for that reason, whatever it was I said that made me realize I have to just stop posting here, someone else's joke that became me being "creepy" when I was not even the one that came up with the content. I was just making fun of it.  Again, I have nothing but love for you guys, even the ones that think they hate me and vice versa.  PLUR (PEACE, LOVE, UNITY, RESPECT) to all.

By the way, the movie has an unheard of 99% or Rotten Tomatoes but it's not so much a "fun" movie as an important one, although it is enjoyable in a way.

Well hell, this is exciting!  I’m going to guess no news until after the Cool baby arrives.

Dinosaur that I am, I agree with so much you say about social media, I think it’s amazing how excited/agitated/worried people get over a little media silence.

Who are you?! :o You know Billie personally?

But yeah, I agree with what you said (I did read the whole thing). I'm 27 and so I was not born into the rampant social media of today. I think it's fun on occasion, but I'd rather talk to real people. It always annoys me if I'm with someone and they are on their phone looking at Facebook, tumblr, Instagram, etc. It's like "Hey! You can look at your phone all you want later. Right now we're spending time together and that should be the priority". Even my best friends, who I love deeply and who love me, do this and I can't help but feel a little insulted by it. I know it's not personal; it's an unconscious habit. But still. I've never been as enchanted with social media as others of my generation or the younger generations. Like you said, I too consider it to be more of a tool.

I wanted Billie to return to Instagram just as much as the next fan, but that's because it's really the only way for me to be aware of what's going on with him (aside from the shitty rumors that are posted on this forum ). I don't know him personally like you do, apparently, but I do love and care about him and wanting to know how he's doing is part of what goes along with that.

I also thought the movie looked really good when I saw a trailer for it in the theater, but now I look forward to seeing it even more.
