Tré Cool, drummer for Green Day, is looking to unload a Newport Beach investment property he owns near Lido Marina Village and Lido House, a new, upscale hotel.

He’s asking $1.875 million for the duplex. Property records indicate he bought it in August 2007 for $1.6 million.

The residence includes an upper and lower unit, with three bedrooms and two bedrooms, respectively. The combined size is 2,103 square feet.

Built in 1978, the updated property is touted as a “classic” beach community spot offering potential short-term rental use.

The upper unit boasts three sun decks, stainless steel appliances and new carpeting. It also includes a great room with beamed ceilings, a fireplace and French doors leading to the exterior space.

The master suite has its own deck.

In the lower unit, the kitchen opens to a family room with a brick fireplace and French doors opening to a large, sunny patio.

The property includes a rare four-car garage as well as a car port.

Tim Carr and Chris Sirianni of Villa Real Estate are the listing agents.

Cool, 45, whose real name is Frank Edwin Wright III, lives elsewhere.

In recent years, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong sold a house he owned on the Balboa Peninsula, and in November 2017, the band’s bassist Mike Dirnt parted with his ocean-view home on a corner lot a quick stroll to the sand in Newport Beach for $3.09 million.

That's one fine ass house. Kitchen could be better though and a garden would be nice. That's probably why they're selling it for 1.8 million and not 3 million :P

Looking at other houses in the same area it’d be overpriced at 3M

They all seem to spend so much time down there, it's hard too imagine they aren't purchasing different properties.

Looks like you don't get much privacy there. Very close to neighbouring properties. They can just 'borrow' Billies Airstream  'till they get a new place. 😜
