So little by little he's bringing back songs from the Trilogy haha. Sign me up lol. :dance:Makes me think that some of these Longshot songs were in fact made for the Trilogy, but left off of those albums. Fell For You, Stay The Night and Wild One fit in too perfectly with this sound. :ermm::)

Wild One, really? :o Looks like The Longshot is becoming Billie's reconciliation with the trilogy. I approve!

Me too. It’s like he couldn’t move forward without settling this and getting some closure.

Bingo! This album feels like Billie reconciling himself to the past 5 years and everything that occurred around the Trilogy. It’s in a way light-hearted but in another way heavy. He needed to do it outside of Green Day.

Hey All! Great seeing everyone again!  :ga: Here's the rest of the videos I have in a playlist for the people who wanted to see them.

BTW, there was a different person operating the merchandise booth in Albany, so I was able to buy 2 more 7" vinyl EPs for the fans who asked me to get one for them. I'll try to mail them out tomorrow. :toocool:

If I'm lucky to get a ticket for the 5/9/18 show at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, I'll see you there too! Cheers!

I just can’t get over what a nice guy you are 🙂 Thanks for the videos.

Every show the band sounds tighter imo. Also Kevin Preston has got to be the coolest motherfucker in all of rock and roll, huh?

How has nobody freaked out yet that it says "Bastards?" on the setlist? :P

That’s Bastards of Young I think.

Ahh, I haven't been paying too much attention to the setlists so I just assumed it was Dirty Rotten Bastards, which would undoubtedly send the forum into meltdown mode if played live.

Photos + Review: The Longshot at the Ivy Room

Billie Joe Armstrong is restless. Or so it seems, given the flurry of new projects that have come from the Green Day frontman in recent months. Earlier this year, we saw the singer, along with some of his Green Day bandmates, play a string of dates as a cover band called the Coverups. Now comes a new original band, the Longshot, comprised of Billie Joe, guitarist Kevin Preston, drummer David S. Field, and Green Day touring guitarist Jeff Matika on bass.

The group has already released a full-length record called Love Is for Losers. We caught up with the Longshot at the Ivy Room in Albany, before they departed on a tour of small clubs
