I'm going to keep it relatively vague and not post any pictures or anything like that, since this was all such a personal experience, but: - I spent time with them before the show in Worcester (incredible, right? I wish I could show you, but I hope you guys understand why it just wouldn't be the right thing to do). We were with Billie right around when he was posting this. And he does, in fact, post these from his own phone. I'm pretty sure he was sitting near me when he did. - Adrienne is with them, she flew out to meet up with them in NY and was certainly with Billie Joe when they checked into the hotel in Worcester in the wee hours of the morning when this picture was taken. I heard all the stories about how shitty of a drive it was and how they didn't sleep a wink until they got to Worcester at 6am. I don't know who took it honestly, but yeah, it was obviously her. And it's a really funny picture! I loved how it was kind of a shout out to when he got naked during the '95 show in the same venue during the encore. - He is wasted on one thing in this picture- freaking love for his fans and excitement for being on tour combined with exhaustion! I didn't have a full appreciation for this before, but their tour schedule is brutal- they left NY at about 2am the night before this gig, checked into the hotel around 6am, and all slept after checking in (with some time for pictures obviously!) until going to the DCU around 3:30. So, my perspective on this picture makes me laugh a lot- he was like a giddy, exhausted kid fired up for the show- I love it! - When he was up and posting this from his phone he was zonked from exhaustion but nothing else- trust me. And he definitely knew what he was doing when he posted this and knew it would get everyone fired up. After a coffee or two and soundcheck he was back at 100%. - By the way, he and Adrienne are fantastic human beings. In every way. And the rest of the guys/ crew from security to the lights/ stage crew are remarkable. You know those tour buses out in front of the show? On the inside they look like old military submarines- 8 bunks apiece and one bathroom. Dude, that's a tough existence. - I wouldn't even post this, since I want to keep this whole experience private because it was so personal and amazing. But I do want to make sure one thing is clear- there was a GDC'er present who was lucky enough to see the "inside" for a day, and Billie is doing as well as ever and there's no need to worry or spread rumors about anything. This was Billie being the guy we all know and love!! - Also, they absolutely love their fans- this was a GDC'er/ lifelong fan's dream come true. I'm just a fan, but they treated me like family.
