Omg, that was gold! I actually have the Green Day book too :lol:It's so funny how angry that mother got. I get it's her book and she's upset that it's wrong, but from how she was talking it made it seem like there was porn in the book or something.

Is this new or am I just seeing this now?

It's....really weird, but great! You "confess" Your favorite song and you can get a certificate and get "blessed" by the band apparently. I have no idea what just happened when I went to the site, but I love it. They're a bunch of goofs!

I saw somewhere it was for crew too, hope that’s true, it would be a great way to say thank you for all their hard work too. Looks like fun! (Green, appropriately enough, with jealousy). Lol

This is the funniest thing ever

Actually it really isn't very funny at all. The parents who bought the book did so because their kids were obviously suffering extreme grief but instead of getting the helpful advice they needed they ended up with the wrong book and the hassle of having to try to get a refund or a proper copy of the book while their kid continues to go through hell. You also have the vet who has put a hell of a lot of work into her book, trying to help kids, only for Amazon to fuck it up. The fact that it was a Green Day book that it was mixed up with as opposed to a naked Donald Trump calendar doesn't change the fact that it's just a shitty situation all round.

What, because they lost a pet? That's not really 'going through hell.' There are much shittier things that could've happened to that kid. You're being way too dramatic about it.

My brother in law is a part-time grief counsellor (a passion he dedicates as much time as he can to following the death of his daughter) and believe me the death of a pet can be devastating to children (and indeed adults) in many circumstances. Without going on and on just consider the people who are completely dependant on dogs (guide dogs, seizure dogs etc) The death of these pets represent the loss of freedom, loss of confidence and in many cases a very real threat to the persons life. Even when a new dog (trained) is introduced to the individual there is a long period of trust building necessary and during this time the individual needs real support. If this person is a child parents often feel confusion as to how to help the process along. I'm not even going to get into nitty gritty of children with special needs (such as autism etc).

But this was not somebody that was completely dependant on a dog. This was a child and their pet.

And considering my dog died just a few months ago, I know exactly how it feels to lose a pet - it's not anywhere near what would be described as 'hell.'

You have no idea of the child's circumstances. Do you know if he or she has an intellectual disability etc? For many children with disabilities the slightest change in their family or home environment can be hugely upsetting. I find your reaction a little disturbing to be honest. If you are a healthy adult, good for you, however you can't relate your ability to understand death (yes even that of a pet) and cope with it to that of a small child with numerous potential different difficulties (intellectual, emotional or physical).

I think y'all are forgetting that all that happened is a misprint in a book. It's not like Billie Joe broke the door down in the middle of a therapy session, jesus

Did I suggest this was in any way connected with Billie? I simply pointed out it really isn't that funny as it's a further delay in getting the children the help they need. Oh and i also noted it's not particularly nice for the vet who was screwed over by Amazon.

I'd rather be considered a drama queen for my appreciation of the feelings of children than a heartless asshole which I consider quite a few people on here at this point.

It's just a book though. It's not a certified therapy session, which was my point. "The help they need" is a stretch.
