Random Green Day News

5,352 posts in this topic

We've closed the old Random Green Day News thread and here's a shiny new one. This time, please only use this thread to post the most teeny tiny, insignificant, truly "random" news, stuff that wouldn't get more than a couple of posts in response. Unless it fits that description, always make a thread for it! There's always room for new threads and we'd like to see lots of them being made so that more people hear about new articles, interviews, cool things etc and there's more space to discuss them.

To recap, if in doubt don't post here, make a thread. Thank you :D

Also please note: When posting an article don't just post a link with no description of what it is. Make sure to always include a few words to describe what the article is about and why Green Day is mentioned in it.

Last but not least credit to @crock6000 for inventing and creating the original Random Green Day News thread :ga:

New album news for 2014?

http://en.mediamass.net/people/green-day/new-album.html

According to a source, rumors of Green Day (Billie Joe Armstrong, ed) working in recording studio are true, with as many as eight songs having been put to tape. “It’s still in the early stages,” “They got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper,” a source said.

It might just be the remixing/reworking of the trilogy, but that sounds good either way

i don't know if this has been posted before...

but the TV channel Showtime is showing a documentary on the famous rock photographer Bob Gruen tonight and apparently it has Billie in it

"TONIGHT at 7pmEST Showtime Networks will be airing "Rock 'N' Roll Exposed: The Photography of Bob Gruen," a documentary about our good friend and legendary photographer, by Grammy winning director Don Letts and featuring Iggy Pop, Yoko Ono, Debbie Harry, Billie Joe Armstrong, and many more! Not to be missed!" saw this on Jesse Malin's Facebook

Really? Which station, X103 or something? I might have to listen to that station and be on the lookout for The Forgotten. :D
