Was supposed to finish two lyric pieces but instead spent the night playing Draw My Thing online with a friend. Dayum, productivity.

Especially if you want to write verses with meat and meaning. I like to treat verses as a dish that stands alongside the chorus portion of the meal, I don't like treating verses like they're just meant to be screwed onto the chorus.

No, no, no, treat them with respect, definitely. :) You can tell when it's like that and the song just sounds cheap & badly written. Always write my best in the verses which is why they take so long. Right now, I've written the body of a song but am struggling with the 3rd verse because it's like, is this as good as my first 2? It's hard.

Ahhh I know that one. There have been times where I come up with 1 or 2 verses that I like, then struggle with the second or third. This is especially frustrating when I come back to it, come up with a latter half, and then suddenly feel that my original verses are no longer up to par. #songwritingstruggles
