I don't think Dos is good for a Green Day album I just prefer it from the other two which i find extremely boring to listen to except from like 1-2 songs on each album. In dos at least there are more songs i can listen to without wishing they end. Yeah maybe it's the garagey sound and favorite song has to be Stray Heart although being a rip-off to mother mary turns me off

First of all almost everyone here agrees that Warning is a great album nobody cares it didn't sell well.
They don't release music cause they "care about us". They release music they like and if we like it too that's even better.
"We as fans should not be angry about the trilogy". We have every right to dislike the trilogy because let's face it. It has some enjoyable pop-punk songs but that's something they did better in their other releases and some horrible boring ones. And to me the most experimental one was Kill The DJ which is a song I like but it could have a much better chorus if they worked on it more (that's the problem with all the trilogy songs actually)

My favorite personal would be Dos and that's an actual unpopular opinion

So what stage are you saying I have to be to appreciate the song?

Nah i can't find it! I know someone will find it for you I'm sure he said it!
So you consider Makeout Party, Nightlife, Fuck Time, Stop When The Red Lights Flash and Lady Cobra as good written songs? Just answer me that. And don't give me no "they're fun songs" bullshit cause they have written fan songs in the past and they were great. I think Billie as a writer is too good for his fans to not bash him about songs like these.

I don't give two shits about hidden meanings if something sounds stupid like almost all his writing in trilogy and especially Dos it's bullshit.
Also even Billie said that a song like Nuclear Family is just words he wrote it doesn't really mean anything. So you're wrong.

That's the best and the most accurate think about the trilogy i have ever heard!
It's part of my unpopular opinion that what I said is a fact and not an opinion.

not really. I understand that some people may enjoy listening to trilogy because it's just the typical green day sound but i can't understand how it can be considered a good effort since it's really not and it's obvious to me.

If you take the singles out and maybe one or two songs Dookie sucks so much. Insomniac and Kerplunk are so much better. So is American Idiot and maybe even the Foxboro album.
If you think the trilogy is a good effort then you have really low standards for green day's music. And that's not an opinion its a fact.
Billie's songwriting was terrible in trilogy and in 21stCB he had some really good lines but on most songs it didn't made any sense.

  10. petros added a post in a topic Green Day on the list of "Bands that Stayed Together and Got Worse"

Well if you think Green Day's last three records are considered their worst by most fans and critics they have gotten worse. And also 21stCB is considered a flop by many fans and critics too. So I get where they're coming from.

Actually my problem with the trilogy isn't that they didn't just pick the best 12 or 15 songs. Is that they didn't pick their best ideas (because there are some great ideas thrown through the trilogy) and work on them to perfect them. The best 12 songs of the trilogy still would suck as an album cause it would still be good ideas executed poorly.
