Wow shit. Can't believe it's been that long....still one of my if not my favourite album of them. It was so much to me back when I got into GD, that album was my life and my world man.
I only got into them in 2006/2007 but yet there was barely no day where I didn't listen to it. BOBD was THE song that made me who I am today.
Sooo Happy Birthday American Idiot!
I'm glad I could make you feel good with it!
Is that Bugsy Malone guy related to that Molly Malone girl? Was that even her name?
No but really though, that's a good phrase. I heard it in another song before too and it's what I'm trying to achieve. I try to be nice to everyone and I try to be the best person possible and it's gotten better with my pessimistic thoughts the past years. Not quite where I want to be yet though. (Being content, optimistic etc.) I'll keep waiting and honestly have no other chance, because I AM trying but seems like fortune likes to keep me waiting.
However thank you so much for the words Ste, really!
BOBD definitely! It made me get into them in the first place.
Also Having a blast, When I come around, RESTLESS HEART SYNDROME (oh boy yes that one...especially the autotuned part "Know your enemy" then the big blast out and the end with the drums and Billie screaming!)
Christie Road has given me the chills before too.
Walking Alone, Macy's Day Parade, J.A.R., Whatsername and Jesus of Suburbia, Letterbomb, Are we the waiting, Give me Novacaine, Before the Lobotomy.
Song of the century (mostly because it was the first song I ever hear live from them) iViva la Gloria!, Viva la Gloria (Little Girl) and Drama Queen...I'm so sure I'm forgetting a lot more though.
