  1. No Fun Mondays became No Fuck Fridays

  2. I'm team black, too, I would love to see the style in my profile picture again. Showed my family the story that Billie posted and "God, he needs a haircut" was the reaction I got

  3. Ok I am confused.

  4. I honestly really like him just posting songs whenever he feels like it. You never know when there will be a new one to surprise you and brighten your day.

  5. ^^ what she said. Keep the black. It still works on him.

  6. When you actually say "yea!" out loud when GD is included in any random quiz (and make a face at the answer).

  7. One does not simply listens to Green Day without good headphones or earphones. On max volume. FOAM is meant to be listened that way.

  8. That was my sister's reaction when I sent her the James Corden link. When I sent her the pic where Billie has the bandanna as an eye mask and Lenny and Mini on top of him, her reation was "Ew. Really, do you think, based on the porn stache and the state of his hair, that he smells good?"

  11. This is a scheme created by GDA to get more traffic. They saw we were only poking our heads in on Mondays to see if there was a new song, so they somehow forced Billie to do random days. Now every one is checking daily. Is there a new album? Is there a phsycho phyaturday? Sunday Funday? Thursday Quirsday? Good job, website. You got traffic. Some would say traffic is bad or not punk rock but... I am kidding. Great song!

  12. I love the black but also the blonde mess. I think I like that he keeps changing it and can understand what a job it is keeping control of it 😂. I like that when he’s “on” he goes full rock star But when “off” just himself so it’s not like he’s trying to convince us he really has that black hair. I don’t see him growing old very gracefully 😂 . I loved the Elvis hair though, think short suits him really well, will be interesting to see what he does post lockdown, some people here are having their hair cut shorter than they ever have!

  13. Wasn't expecting a NFM cover last night, but I really like it! And I like Billie putting songs out when he feels like it. I thought that yesterday was a Saturday, and I've just woken up thinking that today was a Friday, so I'm confused as to what day it is too

  14. Bathroom? No thanks! I actually just bought poster strips today so now I have no excuse to put those stupid things up in my room. Luckily they will be on a sliding closet door so I can make them go away whenever I don't feel like being stared at. Baby steps!

  15. Im really upset about not being able to look up live versions of these FOAM songs on YouTube. I totally have the urge to here Meet Me on the Roof live. Stab You in the Heart, and Sugar Youth too.

  16. Yay who needs Mondays anyway? I kind of like that it’s less predictable. I’m showing my age here but the version I knew as a teenager was the one by Kirsty MacColl and always loved it. A very English song and an interesting pick for our Billie. Now I wish he’d do Going Underground by The Jam if he’s gonna go full on Brit.

  18. I assume he’s keeping a consistent look to be instantly recognizable and avoid a “oh wow this is what he looks like now???” reaction, but I agree with you. I’d love it if he kept his natural hair for Green Day. I like it better. For that matter, today I rewatched the Coverups show from when he had a beard. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but imo he always looks cool when he’s more casual. I wouldn’t mind if he just went for that instead of going super fancy when he’s “at work”.

  19. I’m glad the most recent owners didn’t remove the Gilman flyer wallpaper in the bathroom. That’s the coolest thing.

  20. He also told Gwen Stefani that same day that if he wasn’t married he’d fuck her. Cancelled for sure 😄

  21. To be fair if it’s the one I’m thinking of he was high as fuck but yeah by today’s standards I doubt any of his onstage antics with fans from 2004-2010 would be tolerated today.

  22. Yeah, I thought he looked good there too. Hair was starting to be wild but still somewhat under control, and still like 95% black. A porn stache is associated with 70s porn. Billie likes to attempt it now and again.
    1 point
  23. I agree. He looks so much better with a natural color these days. Cover up the grey if that’s what he prefers, but the pitch black doesn’t look so good anymore imo.

  24. if im not mistaken I think that's the house that's in that documentary of the GD and Blink tour Riding In The Car With The Boys or whatever it was called

  25. I will forever be team black. I've only seen one or two videos/pics where I've thought it looks unnatural and those were right after he had had it dyed, so it just hadn't "settled" yet.

  26. I like Billies hair because he just looks ridiculously unkempt and kinda wild and I think it’s hot. And at the same time the glasses make him look like a little nerd boy. Ladies, we have to let go of the black and so does Billie. As he approaches 50, it’s going to look more and more like a wig. These current highlights are cool but what he really needs is a nice natural color with subtle highlights.

  29. I was disheveled, but then I got my hairs did yesterday 😊. Feel like a whole new person. Fresh color and a new cut/style. The hair is a bit sassy today. Goes well with my current mood. Sassy.

  32. FOAM is number 9 on the top 10 most popular records of 2020 so far, on Discogs https://www.magneticmag.com/2020/07/tame-impala-tops-discogs-most-popular-releases-2020-so-far/ Well, it’s Discogs, so a niche that doesn’t represent the whole market at all, but it’s still nice to see them up there IMHO.

  33. But in all seriousness, I could do without the blond bits. It's just so patchy and weird. This is not my favorite hairstyle on him, but I still like it a lot. He seems a lot thinner, especially in the neck, and looks a little tired to me. Glad we got a picture of him with no mask so we can finally see his face again, though!

  34. Maybe he took Tré's swoleness as a challenge and decided that he should get back into shape too. I do think he looks a lot thinner. Especially his neck.

  35. I recently started dog walking for a family who live a couple streets away. One of the dogs is a tiny, mischievous little fella with fluffy black hair - and his name just happens to be Billy 🤔 Also, whenever we get near the end of a walk, I start singing the "We're coming home again" part of Homecoming to the dogs 😂

  36. I'd say the black hair is the most identifiable for him (and is what I prefer), but he changes the length and between curly, spiky, and straight. I prefer it longer, but not whatever the hell he has going on now. I also think he looks a bit too skinny right now.

  37. I think I'm the only one looking at it going, ummm... yeah, no.

  38. Can’t tell if he’s looking real skinny or the hair is just overwhelming his face. He looks real healthy regardless!

  39. omg and my girlfriend and I are looking for a house. Too bad I don't have @Sheenius money. https://www.compass.com/listing/oakland-ca-94618/537639792610468553/ WELCOME TO PARADISE! Located at Julia Morgan's historic 1911 Red Gate Mansion site, this extraordinary home has impressive provenance. After the 1991 fire burned many architecturally significant homes, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong enlisted architect Mark Becker to design this privately gated, 6,911sf French Normandy home. The stately front steps are an homage to its enchanting past w/ over $1m in restorative masonry using the original Red Gate bricks. The home has a comfortable ease, yet exudes richness at every turn: dramatic light filters in & casts shadows on the curvature, a rough-hewn wood beam ceiling draws you into the volume of the foyer, and intentionally imperfect walls mix seamlessly w/ antique lighting from the French flea market at St-Ouen. GG Bridge & SF skyline views abound, including at the pool & cabana. And as any rockstar needs, a recording studio & original flyers from the band's early days at iconic 924 Gilman create an edge among the historical elegance.

  40. Yes. Let's look at Kevin approving of the Lenny shirt.

  41. My biggest problem with Jeff is that his vocals with the Longshot, in the show recordings I heard, we’re pretty awful. I’m not being flippant I just think the guy was not doing a good job, also I am always very concerned about judging people who are in the public eye at any level on the basis of what they appear to have done or not done, it’s too easy to get the wrong end of the stick or plain misinformation. Kevin seems like a great fit.

  42. One of the things that most got me about Jeff was at the start of the Longshot tour when he had a personal family emergency and the tour was postponed in the eleventh hour. Absolutely the right thing to do and of course not his fault but it was still a big thing for two weeks of shows to be rescheduled last minute instead of temporarily replacing him. It was a tremendous act of loyalty and compassion on Billie’s part and though many hundreds of fans were inconvenienced, they all posted messages of support for Jeff and the decision on social media. In short, a lot of people went out of their way for him. But then when it was all over, he never said a thing about it. Not a post of appreciation for the fans or a thank you to Longshot for postponing. It made him come off like an ungrateful jerk.

  43. Yeah he's not the first person to get angry/upset and act immaturely. I think it's the lack of addressing it/apologising afterwards that has left a lasting nasty taste though. It just made him less likeable, that's how it goes. No one has done anything terrible to him as a result, some people just don't like him as much, and that's their right. People would be into Kevin being in the band regardless though, because Kevin is awesome.

  44. Here’s the Green Day related part: IE: You made Green Day sound Gary-Glitter huge on Father of All Motherfuckers. BW: Ha! Love Gary Glitter or hate him — and he’s very hateable at this point — there was some good music there. And cool production. And a lot of that ‘70s glam era is in my wheelhouse, from just growing up and loving it and making a lot of tributes, production-wise, just on my own records. That was also a lot of Billie Joe Armstrong’s influences. And like I’ve told people before, half of making a record is just talking with the artist before you even start the record. So Billie and I would spend a lot of time just shooting the shit — over texting and over phone calls — and we had all the same records, we had the same exact influences. He’s very much a musicologist and knows every guitar player on every record, and I love that. So not only was it like, “Did we just become best friends?” It was also “Okay, let me get a vibe on this demo you just sent me, and I’ll send you back a work in progress, a template of how I think it would sound cool.” That’s how we started the record, and he loved it. And there were a lot of those great influences there, like E.L.O., the early Bowie stuff, the T. rex stuff. It was a lot of fun.

  45. I agree. The negative reviews seem to be missing the point that GD was going for a party them on this record. Everything is sort of goofy and loose. A lot of the negative reviews are missing this deliberate choice and calling it "cringe."
