  1. Jeff also crosses the street like a bitch.

  2. Ultimate shirt would have been this pic. Covers both the Longshot and Lenny.

  3. Jeff's probably at home going, god damn it, I thought they finally forgot about me. How the hell did I get brought up again?

  4. We like Kevin because he's hot, has great chemistry with Billie and the band in general, is a great musician, and is a friendly guy. Jeff being gone is just a bonus.

  5. I have no idea what's happening with his hair but I love it!

  6. Yes. Let's look at Kevin approving of the Lenny shirt.

  7. I mean aside from the obvious fact that Kevin is hot, he's such a sweet guy. I was lucky enough to speak with him and for whatever reason I didn't think he would be so friendly and upbeat. But he was so nice and lovely. And he spoke to my inner fangirl when he started gushing about Billie. His sweetness only adds to his hot factor for me.

  8. I think Kevin really earned the fans’ love and devotion with The Longshot (yeah he was in FBHT but didn’t stand out as much then) His onstage chemistry with Billie elevated the band. Replacing Jeff in Green Day was a welcome move but definitely not the reason he is loved.

  9. I second that😍 Especially live *melts*

  10. Lenny being an official member of all Billie's bands makes me happy He's also hawt and people have liked him since he joined FBHT in 2008

  11. I haven't fangirled over Billie in a while, but as soon as I saw his Instagram story I had to rush here instantly Look at that wild mane of hair! 😍 I've really started to appreciate guys with longer hair recently, so seeing Billie like this does things to me And I love the blonde bits too. He should keep it like this for a little while after GD comes back. I also adore the grey stubble He's just so damn pretty! ❤️

  13. Can’t tell if he’s looking real skinny or the hair is just overwhelming his face. He looks real healthy regardless!

  14. I liked this thread better when we were talking about Kevin 👀

  15. No one even mentioned Jeff until you did. People have always liked Kevin ever since he was in FBHT and Prima Donna toured with Green Day a decade ago. He's a friendly and likeable guy, attractive, and as the frontman of a glam/rock n roll/punk band he has great stage presence, and nice onstage chemistry with Billie. Had the same experience when I met him at a Prima Donna show, such a lovely guy (same with the rest of the band too). And then a really fun performance. I'm really not bothered about Jeff playing with Green Day or not, Kevin is just awesome.

  16. Kevin’s greatness stands because of his own merit. No need to compare him to anyone. Kevin is the awesome. So happy he’s in Green Day 💚 And Kevin + Lenny = Billie’s Paradise.

  17. Cute shirt but more importantly, I assume it means he’s not done with the Longshot, there will be more I hope.

  18. I would love for him to keep this with Green Day but he won’t. For some reason he locked into the black spikes as “Green Day hair” and now it’s like he can’t get out of it.

  19. I’m glad the most recent owners didn’t remove the Gilman flyer wallpaper in the bathroom. That’s the coolest thing.

  20. I love his reaction to the mic falling! Best moment in the whole video. ❤️

  21. One of the things that most got me about Jeff was at the start of the Longshot tour when he had a personal family emergency and the tour was postponed in the eleventh hour. Absolutely the right thing to do and of course not his fault but it was still a big thing for two weeks of shows to be rescheduled last minute instead of temporarily replacing him. It was a tremendous act of loyalty and compassion on Billie’s part and though many hundreds of fans were inconvenienced, they all posted messages of support for Jeff and the decision on social media. In short, a lot of people went out of their way for him. But then when it was all over, he never said a thing about it. Not a post of appreciation for the fans or a thank you to Longshot for postponing. It made him come off like an ungrateful jerk.

  22. I wouldn’t mind him killing someone if he politely apologized

  24. It’s so great to see his face again finally. I was waiting for this so long lol But yeah I’m not personally a fan of seeing those two colors together in his hair like right now. I would prefer his natural fluffy curls that we saw when quarantine first began a few months ago but still, he looks always really pretty to me just because it’s Billie lol

  27. Okay enough with the ha has. We know why we're here: We're here for Kevin

  28. Oh all this time I thought he killed someone. I like him then.

  29. Yeah he's not the first person to get angry/upset and act immaturely. I think it's the lack of addressing it/apologising afterwards that has left a lasting nasty taste though. It just made him less likeable, that's how it goes. No one has done anything terrible to him as a result, some people just don't like him as much, and that's their right. People would be into Kevin being in the band regardless though, because Kevin is awesome.

  30. Oh boy . A while back he and his girlfriend broke up, he posted about it on Instagram, then when some fans started sending her nasty messages and someone mentioned it to him he encouraged them to continue. At some point he responded to one of the comments calling him out for this with an apology of sorts, but deleted it soon after, and otherwise never apologised or addressed it and just deleted everything instead. This lowered many fans' opinion of him. No one knows if this has anything to do with him seemingly no longer being a touring member of Green Day/being replaced by Kevin Preston though, he was/is still in the Longshot so who knows. But since that stuff with his girlfriend happened, and also because he was already a bit snarky/sarcastic with fans at times which not everyone was amused by, and because a lot of people really like Kevin, quite a lot of people are happier to see Kevin playing with Green Day. I think that sums it up.

  31. I agree with the hating the whole party theme and also with foam being pretty dark. I honestly love the album way more than I thought I would though but I think Billie kinda needs to accept his age and get more down to earth with himself before we get a record of real substance again. And I really hope that happens before the next record. Honestly I think the longshot was a step in the right direction as it felt pretty personal and true. Foam doesnt as much but I really did end up loving it even though I didnt expect too. Billies in some weird rut where he just doesnt wanna grow up I think. Correct me if anyone disagrees and I'd like to hear your opinion on it as well.

  32. Without seeing the rest of him I can’t tell but he was already pretty skinny during FOAM promotion. Maybe if we ask nicely we’ll get a full body shot 🙏🙂

  34. I was thinking a bit about what I've said here a couple hours ago and I need to correct myself: when we say the party records feel immature and unnatural, it's not really about the records that we complain about, but the way they're marketed. I don't think the writing itself is insincere. I fully agree with @Thatsername that FOAM is a dark record that's far from carefree and party (and same goes for a big part of the Trilogy). These albums are about being self-destructive and that's a part of Billie's experience that he's writing about. It's not a reflexive kind of writing, I guess that might not even be possible under the circumstances (he's said before that he used to write about characters and didn't consciously think about himself, even though the songs were autobiographical and this might be a similar situation), but that doesn't mean it's fake (even though it does feel like a step back after revrad). I believe FOAM would get a better reception (at least from us), if it was presented as this dark record about depression/falling back into bad habits etc., than using this "party" narrative that the band themselves weren't convincing about. I get that it's easier to say (and it doesn't get as personal) plus I guess the marketing dept. thinks it's also catchier to present it as this party thing, but it will never work, because it's not true. Imagine they tried to pretend Insomniac was a happy record - the album would be no worse, but it'd seem fake.

  36. Here’s the Green Day related part: IE: You made Green Day sound Gary-Glitter huge on Father of All Motherfuckers. BW: Ha! Love Gary Glitter or hate him — and he’s very hateable at this point — there was some good music there. And cool production. And a lot of that ‘70s glam era is in my wheelhouse, from just growing up and loving it and making a lot of tributes, production-wise, just on my own records. That was also a lot of Billie Joe Armstrong’s influences. And like I’ve told people before, half of making a record is just talking with the artist before you even start the record. So Billie and I would spend a lot of time just shooting the shit — over texting and over phone calls — and we had all the same records, we had the same exact influences. He’s very much a musicologist and knows every guitar player on every record, and I love that. So not only was it like, “Did we just become best friends?” It was also “Okay, let me get a vibe on this demo you just sent me, and I’ll send you back a work in progress, a template of how I think it would sound cool.” That’s how we started the record, and he loved it. And there were a lot of those great influences there, like E.L.O., the early Bowie stuff, the T. rex stuff. It was a lot of fun.

  37. I imagine that they are taking about money that goes to the touring/management companies, not the artists, among other things to pay for salaries of hundreds of people. So yeah, I guess they need that, and every country in the world is setting up similar funds. From what I am reading, the problem in the US is that while big and relatively big companies have easy access to these funds, medium and small size business have limited to no rights, not to talk about self employed workers. Which is typical of that country and sucks. That doesn’t mean that the solution is putting the entire music industry into bankruptcy/having it to rely on the “charity” of artists.
