Thatâs great perspective. You know whatâs also funny? With all the love/ mixed/ hate reactions here, itâs just a pleasure to have the interaction and see what everyone else is feeling. I am loving the song, but Iâm also enjoying the other reactions as well, as theyâre generally coming from a place I can relate to in thought and spirit. When AI came out, I was a longtime fan but we didnât have anything like this- just perhaps greenday.net (Jason Holmes if anyone remembers)? None of my friends were into Green Day so I had no one to talk to or enjoy the moment with. I felt like I was living that huge moment myself, calling radio stations for info, and pissing my family and friends off by being excited about something they had no interest in. There are many reasons why I donât like forums and large parts of the internet in general. But itâs really enjoyable to be able to connect with you all about whatâs going on right now. I didnât have that for AI, Warning, Insomniac, etc. and despite how little I like social media... well, itâs just fun to share this with you all12 points

Confession: I'm split between my desire to mosh and adoringly stare at Billie.10 points

I am little concerned that we have competing fandoms at these concerts so hoping everyone is just there to have a good time and that folk recognise its fair to let Weezer fans to the front for their set, then they move back but sure there will be some selfish bastards who won't play along. I guess if they start well, it will set the tone so fingers crossed for happy concerts!6 points

I think the people in the crowd are so nice! You're there for the same exact reason and the same bands that you love. But there will always be a 1% of guys that are asshole. But the other 99% is on your side anyway. Assholes are more in festivals than arena shows.5 points

I feel the same way. Iâm glad that this tour with two other acts might force them to tighten the setlist a bit. I really have gotten to the point where I strongly dislike them dragging out almost every song. I just wanna hear the song! We donât need a breakdown in the middle. That said, I do think this bandâs interaction with the crowd is very special. No one is a better showman than Billie. They can keep the interaction, but just cool it with the monologues, laying down, excessive heyohs, etc.4 points

Most Dangerous song: American Idiot. Safest Song: Stairway to Heaven. Alright but have they ever heard Spliknot or Slayer?4 points

I'll always remember the time my girlfriend got puched in the face by a guy during a Sum 41 show because she was trying to put her hand on the gate to survive the mushpit. I don't even know if this guy is still alive. As soon as he punched her there was like 6 or 7 other guys that start punching him and beating the shit out of him (I was in there too). I was like ''Hey thank you for backing me up guys!''4 points

Oh man! I am sure I can't afford to fly to Germany, but WOW. THAT LINE UP! 5 of my all time favorite bands and 6 that I know are pretty good. MAN. I'm trying to do the math. I currently work two jobs so I'm pondering.....How can I do this..... System of a Down and Offspring are on my bucket list, I NEED to see them both. They'll probably come closer than THIS, right? I'm in South Carolina and can drive anywhere within 10 hours or so. Georgia is usually where I go for bigger shows. Disturbed are coming to town soon and I'm passing it up since I just went to SLIPKNOT and COLD this month. Everclear are in town this week but I don't know if I'll make it or not. TOO MANY CONCERTS, SO LITTLE MONEY!!!!! AAAAAAAGGGH! That line up.....oh man. That line up. THAT LINE UP!!!4 points

đđđ Seriously how do both of these things exist in the same human? You mean the backstage shots from the Whiskey and Kimmel?3 points

With Bang Bang as a lead single, I will never understand why they opened with KYE on Revrad, I think though it backs up the feelings of the Revrad era being safe, perhaps they had to really work at building their confidence in performing again.3 points

Special guests should be The Struts. Let's just replace Weezer with The Struts actually. They're such a fun band!3 points

New study determines that Green Day's 'American Idiot' is the most dangerous song to listen to while driving: https://loudwire.com/most-least-dangerous-songs-driving/ WAY TO GO BOYS!3 points

A baggy shirt is acceptable when chilling in a beach house, the shorts are on thin ice and the shoes are nice, but the headband came straight out from hell and so did the fanny pack. A fucking fanny pack. That's an abomination.3 points

Of course, there will be folk who canât believe this line up, it will be their dream come true so fine, but I suspect the majority will have one band they prefer and I just hope we can all play nicely đ3 points

I'll be there for all 4 bands. Yes Green Day is my main reason. But no way I'm giving my place on the gate đ3 points

I might do this by stepping out during FOB and taking a break and others may do the same thing when itâs not their favorite band. Everyone has to get through a lot of hours and will strategize according to who they most want to see.3 points

Yup! assuming wheezer do 45 mins(ish) thats enough for a full FoB set (just over an hour) and full Green Day!3 points

For Europe people, La Defense arena got back to me and clarified âGreen day concert, it begins at 18h and not 20h and we haven't got the finish hour, around 23h-midnight.â Much more like it!3 points

Not sure who these guys are, but this sounds pretty rad3 points

Wow. To be so wildly inaccurate about Billie's problem just to get clicks and make it sound scarier is just awful. For shame!3 points

Underrated comment, itâs funny because they were with Warner/Reprise and it being a reprise track.3 points

Billie Joe Armstrong and his heroine addiction. Can't get enough of Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, and Wonder Woman. Edit- Damn, how did I not think to add this?3 points

Oh I see... they're making him cooler than he is with his boring pill and alcohol addiction.3 points

I don't think the disappointment about what you didn't see is real. There's always something else you get to see instead... I've never seen Brain Stew/Jaded, any Trilogy songs, they literally dropped Christie Road out of the shows I want to despite playing it almost every date. But none of that really mattered, their shows are always fun and in the end what's important is what they did play and not what was skipped. That may not be the same for casual fans though...I've seen people complaining they wanted WMUWSE and 21 Guns, most probably not knowing they were lucky enough to hear Going to Pasalacqua and JAR. So I can see the hits need to be played too haha2 points

Opening with KYE last tour made NO SENSE. NONE. They really do need to switch up some of their regular songs. I love that they play so many classics and cover a wide range of their discography, but if youâre a big fan and see them three times during a tour...man, it sucks to see the SAME SHOW three times. And maybe thatâs my problem for buying so many tickets, lol. I know a lot of artists play the same show every night. But theyâve been playing nearly the same show since the AI tour.2 points

I wouldn't mind shorter shows. Not that I don't enjoy their iconic super long sets, but it'd be easy to accept that they don't want to keep playing them at this point. And moreover, a cut could help freshen up the show. No KFAD, less filler and heyhos and 30 minutes are gone while we wouldn't miss out much and the show could be more energetic.2 points

I'm only personally affected if it makes it much harder to get near the front of standing, like if they made it so only VIP could get there and others excluded. Since it seems to just be some kind of early entry I don't think it's much different to when they used to give away early entry as a prize to tons of people on Idiot Club. That only had a very small effect on how hard it was to get near the front, I guess it depends on how many VIP tickets get sold but I doubt it's thousands or anything.2 points
-
What I hate is how they attach VIP to the best seats instead of allowing you to buy any seat you want and then adding a VIP upgrade to it. It means fewer seats available down front that donât come with VIP.2 points
