  1. OMG - so logged onto Ticketmaster in plenty of time, said no account listed to that email, probably cos I haven't used it in years, set up new account, registered credit card it said all good. Sale went live, scrolling though options didn't work, they kept disappearing, finally got just tickets, clicked but it turned out be Amex only, back out, start again, got ticket, old credit card registered to old account came up - what the hell! Had to delete old card, register new with clock ticking down, could hardly breathe! Finally got ticket just as window cleaner climbed up ladder to clean windows as I was screaming and carrying on like a loony, but hey, I'm going! STRESFUL šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

  2. In my experience people stand (if they're able to) even if they have seats. Personally, I like seats because I don't have to fight for spots. I can show up when I want, I don't need to stand the entire time through acts I don't care about, and I don't have to deal with moshing - it's not really my thing. Plus, they've had seats on past tours like 99 Revolutions, so I don't think it's gonna be a big deal. Everyone is gonna go crazy because GD is awesome!

  5. Some of us prefer the seats because we're short and don't enjoy SRO.

  6. The VIPs get rich people ripped off by even richer people while everybody else is practically unaffected so it has its silver lining

  7. Isn't anyone else disgusted by the VIP packages? They cost so much and all you get is some merch and a tour by crew members? It's such a rip off. Of course it's everyone's own decision what to purchase but it makes me sad that a band I like so much has no problem with this.

  8. This pic of Billie reminds me of some Nimrod era ones.

  9. In the Kerrang interview Billie said he was going to title a song "Everyone Has a Plan Until They Get Punched In The Face", but he scrapped it. Genuinely love that as a song title haha.

  10. Honestly, Iā€™m going to be that boring sensible guy and say take care of yourself. A GD show is an amazing experience but if you feel that youā€™re about to faint or need to go and get water from a kiosk then go! You can always try and make your way back to the front. If not, thereā€™s still a party atmosphere half way back! And if you do get split up from your friends, make sure you make reference points to places where you can meet at the end! Stewards are there to help. Ask them for anything you need
    5 points
  11. Exactly! I usually prefer standing too, but I had some GD shows with seats and the atmosphere was still great. 2017 in Mannheim the whole arena was standing. A friend had tickets all the way in the back (I was more in the front) and she was speechless and said she had never seen such a great atmosphere in that part of an arena. And they didn't even have screens! We shouldn't underestimate their powers. (I guess it also helped that Billie shouted "GET YOUR ASSES UP" right at the start of the show and I believe no one dared to sit down again, sošŸ˜‚ Angry little manšŸ˜„).

  12. What pisses me off is that even "legitimate" music websites like Virgin Radio Italy are sharing this bullshit. What pisses me off EVEN MORE is that an Italian Green Day Facebook fan page with 95.000 followers (I will not share the link of this for decency) is sharing this shit as well, probably because it has to lick the ass of Virgin radio for whatever self promotional reason. Which is absolutely disgusting.

  13. Billie Joe Armstrong and his heroine addiction. Can't get enough of Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, and Wonder Woman. Edit- Damn, how did I not think to add this?

  14. Oh I see... they're making him cooler than he is with his boring pill and alcohol addiction.

  23. I refuse to do seats (hence me not having tickets yet). It's just not the same atmosphere. Only time I did seats for GD was in Oakland, and people around me were sitting. The only other people standing left halfway through the set. I need to be with other crazy fans, and the closer the better. Only issue, especially for a 7 hour show (from doors opening to the end of the show) is the bathroom.

  26. Ahh I just googled and Wembley is bigger. But like, I know people who went to that show who were in the golden circle from queuing like one hour. Hard to judge though especially as there'll be Weezer and FOB fans too, I guess all anyone can do is get there as early as they can and hope for the best in any case. Yeah they don't seem like a good deal to me. Hopefully they won't sell well and there'll be less people with priority entry and they'll be less likely to do them the same way again.

  27. We've had great, if too short, footage from Rock Am Ring before and this was my exact thought when I saw this - please let there be good footage from this tour!

  28. SUCH a shitshow this morning trying to buy tickets for San Francisco. it kept saying it was sold out or that my code wasn't valid (even though it was) an hour and a half later, i got the exact seats i was hoping for and i'm so excited. i saw them back in 2005 at this same venue with my best friend and we'll be going together again for this one :) there's not many seats left at all in the lower level but i'm wondering if there's only a certain amount being released for pre-sale
    3 points
  29. What? You didn't want to pay $700 for a $200 ticket + $35 worth of bullshit cheap plastic swag? Bummer, hope the other pre-sales or general sale comes through for you. I got seats in SF with the Amex presale.

  30. Well my husband surprised me and bought the tickets! After I said I did not want to spend $233.00 for two seats on the third deck. We will be looking straight at the stage. One thing I don't like is side stage. But they are in view box seats so better than the nosebleed and nobody sitting behind us OMG so great I can't believe it. I luv my hubby so much. So yeah the fees are crazy! That was only thing holding me back. Oh well his money not mine. Now he is like, no more Oakland A's games. He was going to buy tickets for the games this week. He used his fun money fund up. LOL

  32. Seriously I keep waiting for more big news, videos, TV appearances, more singles, warm up shows I donā€™t know. I just donā€™t know what theyā€™re gonna do between now and next year.

  33. the promoters last time 'PCL' were soo out of their depth and it's beggars belief that they were the ones chosen i believe the promoters this time are 'DF Concerts' , the same guys who have done 'T in the Park' , 'TRNSMT' and 'Summer Sessions' so we are in safe hands this time round šŸ˜‹ i can't speculate if this broke the relationship with pat but i can't imagine green day and their tour management were too happy with pat when PCL pulled the plug 30 minutes before the gates were to open šŸ˜«

  34. O.M.G. I couldn't decide whether to do or for that. I know what my sister's dog's costume is going to be this year... Off to find the world's biggest dog unicorn costume.

  35. What really bugs me about this is what else in the world do you pay your hard earned money for without really getting the chance to study all the options, make your decision and buy the one you want? I have GA tickets as that seemed to be the only option other than VIP but under all that stress, there is no way you take the time to read it all properly, I quickly skimmed for meet and greet and just went for big standard tickets. I donā€™t think there will be seats as Bellahouston is a park but thatā€™s fine, still happy I got!

  36. They still messed up then. They should've said he had a heroin problem. That's the "cool" drug in rock...or is that too 90s?

  39. Donā€™t know if this was dropped. Not really GD news other than there was talk about them working with him in the future although it will never happen but definitely for Weezerā€™s part, the tour will be dedicated to him. 40. Random thought: I wonder if they will be more like U2 and other legacy acts and tour for fewer dates and bigger stadiums from now on. Billie will satisfy his desire to play clubs with his Longshot releases/touring.
