Or could it be a decoy page, just to confuse us?

Kind of like "Love is for Losers" implies that being a loser is good ("well alright!"" Or maybe Green Day make a song called "Songs for Assholes" and it's super poppy, annoying and mocks everything that is modern pop? Or they make a cross over hit that every one likes and sarcasticly refer to it as a song for assholes...... Could be anything, could be nothing.

Could the title “Songs for assh*les” instead of an album name be the reference for a target group? Like, us? And they’ll be like. “Hey oooohhh Assh*les! We have these songs for ya”

Been reading the arguments about the name of 2003's Blink-182 record. Was it untitled or self titled or something else? Wow, humans will argue about ANYTHING, right? and would have the trilogy been better received if it had different names, maybe different artwork as well? Nuclear Family? Nightlife! Brutal Love: Too bad Tre didn't have a song starting with N. Could have done Angel Blue/Amy/Amanda I guess, but ugh. What if album titles HAD to be a song title? Also, I'm going to rename ALL their albums for the heck of it. 1039 could be called GREEN DAY and it not be self titled or untitled, YAY! Welcome to Paradise Having a Blast Tight Wad Hill Reject Misery Tales of another Broken Home Murder City Ordinary World And while there seems to be no pattern for how they name their albums, I think it's likely the new one will be named after a single. They have yet to name an album after a deep cut, like I did here. I guess Dollywhoop# is as good an album title as anything, right? On the subject of Green Day not being able to reignite the popularity of Rock music in modern times, check this quote about American Idiot out. Ian Winwood of Kerrang! said that the album pushed rock music back into the mainstream.[66] American Idiot was a career comeback for the group,[10] and their unexpected maturation "stunned the music industry."[11]

Ooo... good thought. Now I want to know what a song titled "songs for assholes" would sound like

    Schools VS Prisons

I guess many teenagers would agree with you, but as a teacher student I just can't I know the school system varies a lot from country to country so I have some difficulties with the arguments here, but where I live there is SO much focus on how to make school exciting and fun for the pupils and how to include them in the education and so on. The kids are included when we make rules for the class, they are often let to decide how they want to do things etc. School kids also bring their own food to school where I live. I've never been in a prison but I would think that school has a lot more in common with a work place.

On the subject of album titles, with the exception of the Trilogy which are basically self titled and numbered, I’ve noticed that they’ve titled their albums after a song contained in it for every album since Warning, but had never done that for any album from 39/Smooth through Nimrod. So will this album be named after one of the tracks?

Word. I have my preferences and like some of the ideas posted here more than others but like, I trust them. They'll make the album they want and (based on the fact I like all their previous albums) chances are I'll probably like it.

    Your ideal Green Day show/playlist

Okay guys, all the other ones were jokes or not serious. This is my real ideal: 1. The Devils Kind 2. Nuclear Family 3. Roll a Joint 4. Homecoming 5. Welcome to Paradise 6. Highway to Hell 7. Know Your Enemy 8. The Devils Kind 9. Minnesota Girl 10. Keeping Warm in the Nighttime

A different shade of green. It's not enough to have multiple untitled records, but to suddenly start having them all be the same color!

    Confessions

I think any conversation that is meant purely to make fun of someone/make someone feel bad is not very cool, regardless of the group's intentions or if they're just like a "chill group of stoners". Disclaimer: I have not read the "bullying", so I don't know what it is. I'm just going off what has been said here.

But Weezer did do a Green Album! There's a thread on r/greenday discussing what they would call an album if they named it after an old song. Not something I would expect or even want to see happen but stranger things, right? Seems like an interesting exercise at least. Knee-jerk reaction, I would go with Homecoming. I don't know why, just something about it feels fitting.

Depends on what the cover looks like....now you've got me wondering if Weezer will make a Green Album and if it will be heavily Green Day influenced!!!! Album 13......what will you be called???

Well it was similar, a couple pages back, someone suggested a self titled album, and when you open up the booklet, it says #SongsForAssholes! That would be pretty cool!!!!

    Sum 41

They were amazing! I arrived around 4:30pm and there were only 14 people there. I thought the venue wasn't even going to fill up because it was so empty for the support (Yours Truly who were also good) and we were all able to leave the front row for drinks or toilet breaks. First time I've ever done that! It filled up a few songs in though. The crowd wasn't as crazy as when I saw them in 2008 and (I think) 2016. I was expecting it to be super pushy and there were a few crowdsurfers and a mosh pit going in the middle, but I was a few people from Cone and had clear air around me. Everyone was jumping to the older songs but not pushing. Whilst I enjoy pushy gigs, the more relaxed atmosphere was also quite nice considering how rabid other shows get. Even Lights was more rabid I guess no one is desperate to get close to Sum 41 anymore. All the old songs were as energetic as ever. In Walking Disaster Deryck had us all hold up our phone flashlights and that was cute. I was thrilled to see four songs from Chuck and especially No Reason, which is in my top five. They were all great. With Me was also beautiful. When it came out I heard a few performances which were a bit flat but this wasn't at all. I actually cried a bit. The crowd definitely responded best to Fat Lip - I think every single person in the venue was singing! Cone, Dave and Tom threw me picks, which was sweet of them. Deryck looked healthy and had developed more of his own style, rather than being so obviously inspired by Billie. So seeing as I didn't really know 13 Voices or the new songs, Out For Blood and Fake My Own Death were great live! Fake My Own Death was stuck in my head all the way home. I'm still not a huge fan of A Death In the Family or Goddamn I'm Dead Again, but they were fun enough to dance to. Like I thought, I'm more enthusiastic about giving 13 Voices another try and the new album a chance now. I did expect to forget Never There exists but it's really stuck with me even though they didn't play it, so maybe the rest really will grow on me. @Rumpelstiltskin2000 recorded Motivation and With Me so we'll upload those to YouTube later.

    Schools VS Prisons

You're definitely not the only one thinking this. I agree. They both are institutions meant to discipline an individual and they don't respect people's individual needs/preferences/personality/whatever, so it makes sense for them to be kind of similar. I suppose Michel Foucault would agree with us too He wrote a book on prisons and I think he's made the comparison with schools too. I can't find any good quote from it, but I found an article that mentions it. http://www.anotherpanacea.com/2018/11/foucault-and-the-problem-of-prison-and-school-reform/ You could say the principles and purposes on inprisonment kind of fit school too.

Yeah and I’m not saying a change is necessary, just saying that it is possible for a producer to suggest a different sounding kit but there’s no real evidence for it.
