Yeah those are the ones we're gonna see get permanent spots on the setlists, for sure. They rounded it down to those. Plus Fancy Sauce maybe as the closer. Not that I hate those tracks..... but yeah I'm definitely also gonna miss Suzie Chapstick and Coma City. Hopefully they rotate them often. 🙂🤔 But that's already 34 songs, plus 2 or 3 more surprise tracks. I don't expect them chug out the entire Saviors album with Dookie and AI haha. The days of the 43 song sets are in the past I'm afraid. Especially not during a co-headliner tour.

Shit like this makes me wish I lived on the west coast. It’s tough to take an impulse trip halfway across the country to go to these as badly as I wanted to in my bones! For all those going, have a blast.

So I found this article from 1997 that said that Nimrod was the band's 3rd album. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/green-days-nimrod-charts-at-no-10-95552/ It annoyed me so I posted it here so it would annoy you guys too.

While it would be cool to see I just can't picture Green Day doing new wave. Seems weird...like if Green Day had did a promotion with a popular mobile game
-
Can't wait for Green Day to do something influenced by a lot of new wave! Would be good. I see The Network as a potential influence, and maybe even multiple older bands classified new wave, like Duran Duran or something.

The Coverups Performing at The Tiki Bar Costa Mesa April 20th
Rumpelstiltskin2000 replied to Paola17's topic in Green Day Chat
Part of the problem with tickets was because people had already bought tickets to see the rest of the line up a while ago (so half the tickets were probably already gone) before the Cover Ups announced they were joining the line up. That together with the fact that the Tiki Bar only has a capacity of 150. -

I guess with social media getting word round so fast there's really no way to prevent it with an online sale now then. Shame they don't figure out a way to do it similar to when they did it through the fanclub. -

Not sure it’s any easier when this show also sold out out in minutes -
Different opinions are different. There's nothing cringe with that Biggest problem with RR is the production. Quiet parts are too quiet and loud parts are too loud. Songs like Bang Bang and Outlaws suffer heavily from this, but when Forever Now gets more epic and adds more guitars, it also suffers from this and becomes a mess that is impossible to listen and enjoy. I'm not a fan of lyrics on any songs, although line ''fuck you i'm from oakland'' is kinda funny. It was also too serious and and too real album for my taste, if Saviors was nothing but heavy tracks like Dilemma, I wouldn't enjoy it. Albums need to have dumb fun songs (that also hopefully sounds as good as Corvette Summer), but if those tracks are missing or those tracks are just not great songs (Youngblood), album isn't great. Lastly, RR was seen as ''return to form'' which I disagree the most with and I saw it as taking a step back after Trilogy. It didn't feel like natural evolution (except on lyrics I suppose) musically, but rather fan service with thought of ''ye we fucked up with trilogy so heres an album that is closer to american idiot/21st century breakdown sound''. Aaand that's enough of RR discussion in this thread from my end.
