It's actually real, it finally happened. Liam sent me enough nudes to finally give him the promotion to admin. Starting today he'll be helping run this place and manage the team. He also re-joined the GDA news team recently and will helping run things over there as well.

So begins the process of him slowly kicking me off the team.

Congrats Liam! I'm really excited to finally have you help run things instead of just bitching at me for not doing stuff.

The fact that you're never active and literally no one respects you as evidenced above?

I'm more active than Lone and no one has a problem with her?

but lone focuses more on the housekeeping side of things, from what i understand. she's more involved in coding and behind the scenes, like fuzz, whereas you'd assume the team would want another admin to be more involved with the forum at large. which you are not.

Which I plan to be, no one else on the team wants to be.

I'm not sure why anyone expects the one team member who has been the butt of nearly every mod related joke since he was appointed to actually be respected as an admin.

Good luck Liam. You'll need it.

Anyway, we tried having an admin be more involved with the forum at large and it turned out very shitty.

You and your regulards made it turn out very shitty, let's be real about this.

And despite being the butt of every mod related joke he still wants to step up and take the position. The thing is though, he hardly lets those things bother him.

Whether it bothers him or not is irrelevant. He's a forum byword for bumbling incompetency and sycophancy (no offence Liam, I didn't start it). I honestly can't see it ending well, and I don't see why 3 admins is even necessary when most of the mods don't even do their jobs.

The truth is that Liam has been one of the most persistent in trying to improve both sites. Even when people gave him shit, even when we disagreed, he kept making suggestions and kept being engaged to try and help. Unlike some members who believe their mere presence is helping the forum, he's actually wanting to take on more to improve this place. Part of that is dealing with people who have a minimal and selective view of how things work and making sure that despite those people, we find ways to improve and keep gdc running and interesting for the next wave of people who decide to spend time here.

Pfffffffff, you know it is
