Blind Eye
This is how I feel about the crap that happened recently. The shootings, the rape, really, what is wrong with this world? If his is what it means to live then I'd rather hope that the world really does end.
It's easy to pretend
That it's not happening
It's easy to turn a blind eye
To all of these crimes
But when these crimes go on
Hurting and destroying more lives
How can you turn a blind eye
When you can see the victims cry
When you can hear their screams of pain
How can you live with the guilt
When you know you could've prevented
All the hurt and the misery
Why did you turn a blind eye?
It's so easy to say 'I wasn't there'
Is ignorance really worth a child's life
It's so easy to say 'I heard nothing'
When you know, their screams of pain
Will haunt you in your dreams
But when these crimes continue
Do you know just how much you stand to lose?
